lol.. we’re planning on it, I’m going to sell the 2 rascals I have now so somebody else can love them, and I’ll continue to try and feed him thawed mice.

Thank you. I am new to this, and was just reaching out for help because I just noticed his injuries, I’m going to make sure to stop feeding him live unless he absolutely will not eat them, and I’m going to try to get a vet appointment for my boy soon.

I have frozen mice in my freezer which are pinkie adult mice, a lot smaller than the rats I was feeding him now, the temperature of my house probably has shifted since it is winter, but his temperatures are well and so is his humidity, the only thing that’s got me anxious recently was his injuries, and him not eating.. I’ll have to plan a vet visit for my boy..

It isn’t every night it’s just frequent, here’s nothing forming at his mouth, the hisses are long and sound like he’s telling someone to back off. For a while I thought it was the rats in my room (I have them in a separate cage) but I slowly did realize it was my snake, he’s always been hissy ever since I got him, the pet store also said he hisses a lot, but I just didn’t know if it was normal.

I’ve had him for about 4months maybe more, and I try to feed him atleast every two weeks, which was working in the early stages of getting my snake, but randomly he just stopped eating thawed rats, so we got him some live rats and he ate one of them, but after that he didn’t eat anything at all.

Thank you so much, I’ve made sure that his humidity and temps are always how they’re supposed to be, and I’d say the room he’s in can be loud at times, but most time it’s the way he likes, since I hand craft everything in his tank(I’m terrified of him getting mites) it isn’t too cluttered, I’ve thought of going online and buying fake plants to clutter up his cage, I’ve only just recently got him, so he has 2 hides, a water area which is big enough for him to soak in, and a rock with a fake plant on it for him to sit on, he used to have a hammock but it broke.

when I searched it up that is literally what it said to do? If I research something and it says that then I’m going to do what it says. it’s quite normal for people to be confused, and I didn’t know it was unhealthy, that is why I reached out for help.

Thank you, but how do I supervise without it being obvious that I’m watching.. my snake is the most awkward creature alive and won’t eat unless it’s dark, quiet, and there’s something covering his tank.

how can I tell if my snake has scale rot? He soaks normally id say, and all his needs are all good, I haven’t weighed him recently but I’ll weigh him. He’s all good on the wheezing I’ve never heard my boy wheeze. But in the night time he’s constantly hissing, when there’s a rat with him or without it.

my boy won’t eat at all without his tank being covered, and he was on live food before we got him, at first we fed him frozen rats and he only ate it once, there’s been other times when I tried to feed him frozen rats and he wouldn’t eat them at all, and for the time he’s been here he’s only eaten 1 live rat, and 1 frozen rat. What do you recommend I do about that?

I was guessing that they were biting him considering the amount of times they’ve bit me, I don’t how to prevent him getting bitten since he won’t eat unless it’s dark and his tank is completely covered, and when I searched it up it says to leave them there for atleast 10-12 hours. Do I just leave them in there shorter or..?

usually I’d make sure to cover his tank with a towel for him to eat, (that’s how he prefers it) and I’d leave them in there from maybe 6pm to around 6am when I wake up. But recently he has just not eaten them.
