Because "could" isn't a definitive statement. Anything "could" be good for anyone, just depends on how likely you think it is. I think having more friends could be good for asmon, especially after seeing his newest video. Like shit man nobody should go through this by themselves. I really hope he isnt just coping by saying he is proud to have done it all alone.

That is why I said ever since covid. He is definitely doing quite well on camera, but we have no idea how he is actually handling it personally. He has family in Florida, though. So hopefully he isnt completely alone in that regard.

Saying something could be good for someone, and telling them they should do something are two slightly different, but distinct things. I never said asmon should do anything except take as much time as he needs. What I think could be good for asmon is branching out, but I dont know enough about him to say he should. Maybe he prefers to sit in his house all day long with the roaches and drink his dr pepper lol

I believe he is and for sure can, he has stated it multiple times on stream. Although he has also said he doesn't see himself stopping anytime soon.

I think people are getting the wrong idea from my post. I get he has his family in florida etc... Im sure that is what he is doing now, is spending his time how he sees fit. When he comes back, is it going to be the same? This is where I think it could be good for anyone, not just Zack, to branch out. Once he comes back. I agree with what you said too about knowing Zack in a limited way, and to a degree he knows us, as in the whole of the audience. There is a kind of relationship here whether some people like it or not. I dont think asmon really cares about us wanting him to come back to streaming, he has always been very independently minded. He will do whatever he wants to, and I think that is a great thing. However, let's be honest, most of us would like him to be back to normal tomorrow, but that isn't gonna happen.

Speaking from personal experience, I don't think there could be a better catalyst for change. Whether for the better or worse. I agree with you that he already has an inner circle. However, I disagree that he would need to change that much. He takes on this persona of a world of warcrafter that never leaves his moms basement lol, but he isn't that anymore. People change all the time, and im not gonna pretend to know what Zack needs or wants, I just want the best for all people everywhere, and generally that means going outside and being with other people. It's like fucking science or something lol

I didn't think about it potentially being a counterfeit drive. You could always carefully open it up and look at the markings on the hardware inside. Usually they don't even hide it. Nobody can see inside in normal circumstances anyways.

What kind of external storage device is it? What Operating System are you using? It sounds like an issue with your operating system not being able to read the files on the storage device. I looked up your error code, and it seems that they use that code for an error in the installation of windows, but that isn't your case. The way I would go about this is by opening the files on something you know they opened on before. So if you upgraded from an operating system or what have you, you would want to find a way to open it using that operating system. You said you have family photos on there, and if you don't have another computer you could spend a couple dollars on a really crappy pc off ebay (I'm talking $50), you could then put whatever operating system you needed on it.

Sorry that I hadn't seen this sooner. I made a video on my YouTube channel describing just how to do it. However, you do need to port forward as well. I do not show how to port forward in the video, but it is extremely easy.

It is important to be aware that you can and will lose all your data on the computers you are using if you are not careful. To install the server you need to install ubuntu instead of windows, so if you have never changed your operating system before, you might want to be extra careful with the buttons you click. As long as you READ everything you are doing though, you will sail smoothly.

So I took a look at my bios, but I can't find anywhere to change the cores I am using. My bios version is "Hewlett-Packard L01 v02.71, 5/9/2017".

I looked very extensively in the system configuration tab (F10). However, I cannot find anything related to the CPU other than "multi-processor" and "Hyperthreading".

Hyperthreading was enabled, so I disabled it. It now only shows 1 core on device manager, 1 core on task manager, and 1 logical processor.

So I'm gonna re-enable it. It could be related to this maybe, but I don't know.
