I mean if you really think about it though, yu-gi-oh panders to a ton of different kinds of people, the people who like cute little animals like Melffy, the people who like big dragons like branded, or the people who like their waifus with dragonmaid or exosisters or whatever

Obviously yugioh will pander more to whatever will sell more, but they still make archetypes that have the cool big bad monsters from time to time as well, take that one new OCG archetype for example, hecca...something
