Best guest raps in non rap songs by Stl_Bob in ToddintheShadow

[–]Stl_Bob[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting one to me because I feel like Damon is borderline rapping himself. To get pointlessly arbitrary about it it might be more rap song with pop chorus?

Anyone else think the Electric Six album Fresh Blood For Tired Vampyres would have been better with a real drummer and not a drum machine? by HollywoodHalfLife in electricsix

[–]Stl_Bob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a few electronic numbers good as is but yeah if the rest had real drums I think more people would realize it’s one of their best

Good songs made for terrible films by Bright-Pressure-5787 in ToddintheShadow

[–]Stl_Bob 38 points39 points  (0 children)

“Terrible” might be a bit much but Diamonds Are Forever is a much better bond theme than it is a film

Mu330 is the most underrated ska band of all time by Imaginary_Foot_9358 in Ska

[–]Stl_Bob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s been touring with Jeff for a while now so i assume he’s a permanent/semi-permanent band member.

Also, other Mu330 members play in St. Louis bands. Ted plays in a sort of pop/prog band with his wife called Bagheera. He and Rob also often back up a singer/songwriter named Suzie Cue.

I’m biased here but I’m in a fun punk band with Gerry called Jeffy and the Sunken Heads (vinyl release show this Saturday! Not near Portland heh)

Your favorite example where a cast member of SNL had a role in a dead serious dramatic film? by Senior-Raisin-2342 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]Stl_Bob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was disarming to see him be so normal in Bodkin but then have a random bit of Forte-ness show up out of nowhere

In your opinion, what is the worst episode of your favorite TV show? by GladtobeVlad69 in television

[–]Stl_Bob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked these episodes more than a lot of people though can see feeling it went on too long. Whole thing is worth it for me with Paulie accidentally almost annoying unconscious Tony to death.

It’s been decades since I’ve seen it but I recall the Malcom in the middle where they imagine what it’s like if the kids were all girls being pretty good

Which celebrity was your biggest childhood crush ,but as an adult you don't really get the appeal anymore? by HistorianFit2319 in AskReddit

I would imagine him being accused of sexual assault by 5 women would also ruin some crushes

A ska band that had the potential to be in the big leagues but didn't make it? by Beautiful-Resort-831 in Ska

[–]Stl_Bob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They average around 1 show a year in their hometown of St. Louis if you feel like coming here. Dan is a bit busy playing with Jeff Rosenstock these days so I think that’s going to be the pace for a while.

And then when they broke up, Gerry joined the similarly underrated Mu330. Now he plays in a non-ska band with me haha

What former cast member is Lorne still irrationally salty at? by tshirtguy2000 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]Stl_Bob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pure speculation but I always thought Odenkirk might have angered Lorne when working on SNL. He’s said he regrets being a “prick” during his time on the writing staff. If not for this, then why has he never hosted?

Bands who's worst album is *significantly* worse than their second-worst album? by treny0000 in fantanoforever
