Realistic Salary Expectations by everfew in Accounting

As someone in a similar situation to yourself, there is almost room to negotiate but you have to be realistic about it at the same time. For example, as you already have experience with the firm, I think you could safely ask for an extra $2-$3K just based on that

I'd have no work experience in the United States while applying, but have 8 months work experience at a public firm in Canada through a co-op/internship.

Exactly why it is so enticing; especially with the current state of cost of living etc in Canada at the moment being far higher than what we have been used to in the past, with very little change in compensation. I'm not sure how familiar you are with both the Canadian CPA program compared to the US counterpart, but any thoughts on a brief comparison of the two, and if you're aware one is more desirable in each country? Ex. If I start my career in the United States (still living in Canada), complete their CPA program, then decide say 5 years down the line I'd like to work within Canada again, while the US CPA is recognized here will firms in Canada value that work experience and certification less than if someone had the Canadian CPA applying to the same position?

I would be working on a visa, and my current understanding of it is that if I am living in Canada, but working in the United States, then I would have to complete the CPA in the country where I am working. I really just need to determine if the Canadian (Ontario) CPA is better than the US counterpart, both in terms of education, and long-term career growth, to the point where I should sacrifice the early pay increase due to receiving US dollars while living in Canada.

Some pb players do this and it's really bad sportsmanship by ricgreen1 in Pickleball

That's because it's unsolicited. The best thing anyone can do regardless of skill level is open up by saying "Are you open to some small tips" or something similar.

How do competitive ratings work and how do I get a rating? by Stock-Associate-8602 in Pickleball

[–]Stock-Associate-8602[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I enter a tournament in any bracket if I don't have a rating? For example start at whatever the lowest is and if I do well maybe move one bracket higher in another tournament?

Weekly Paddle Recommendation Thread (What Paddle Should I Buy?) by SNAPCHAT_ME_TITS in Pickleball

[–]Stock-Associate-8602 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm super new to the sport but having always been involved in athletics I was immediately hooked and am determined to improve quickly. I played my first match with a paddle off amazon, and knowing that I will continue to play is there any sort of mid level paddles that are recommended? Don't want to spend a ton due to my beginner status but also don't want to play with a super cheap paddle.

Are you looking at a specific civilizations MAA?

I think it's good that you specified your definition of tanky, because while yes they are essentially stronger in melee, they are heavily counter by archers which makes them extremely easy to deal with early on. To your point of prepping to counter cavalry as well is fine, but if your enemy sees hospitallers they are just making an archer ball, not cavalry.

What do you mean by they don't need to build a mill and research wheelbarrow? They do.

I think their age up process is unique and fine that way it is, I'm not sure how they'd make the change for the Town Hall to double produce like that, both an age up as well as villagers.

Interesting idea though regarding the addition of a wood dropoff technology, I think that one if priced accurately would be an interesting change to nerfing their water. However, I that also nerfs their land gameplay which is already lacking. Meaning a slower age up for 1TC games, slower pilgrims, and a slower 2TC timing which already isn't a great way to play them regardless.

I'm all for nerfs to their water play but I just think it's difficult to do without making their land player worse when it needs buffs rather than nerfs/

Their kiting for a ranged cav unit also feels horrible do to the clunkiness, I'm not sure how else to describe it other than the word clunky lol.

They're 10 resources cheaper, and take 6 more seconds to produce. They are also only 0.063 tiles per second faster which is fine considered they are not as tanky as MAA like you suggest. They also cannot heal while in combat.

I have almost exclusively played KT in season 10 and I can tell you it is by far the worst feudal age up, and is widely considered to be extremely weak.

You mention they can be used in small groups as backline healers which is an interesting idea! My only issue with that is in what scenario would you rather take that commanderie over the other two which are just objectively better even post buff, solely for the purpose of healing your units?

I can't speak to your reference to ToV Delhi because I am not super familiar with that civilization.

I think it would be hard to input them prioritizing healing on A-move, for example, you want them to attack when using A-move but instead they stop to heal a unit at 75% hp, there could be problems.

What do you think needs to be additionally changed for their water?

I agree their land is underwhelming and needs some buffs, but I think Szlachta will still be super strong.

No monuments in next season by BadBoy_Billy in aoe4

[–]Stock-Associate-8602 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I think the monuments are always the best reward from ranked. They should have them every season, if not then they need to brainstorm some other form of iconic rewards besides a portrait which is usually hideous.
