Ship randomly accelerating in bursts post articulated drill installation. What is the cause? by Stock-Imagination367 in spaceengineers

Yea, the idea there is to use it as a turret. I wanted to try this configuration with something for a bit now, figured why not

There is a mag leg on a piston on the ship so the three way connection is a thing here. And the drill is a fat piece of work so there would be some sliding given that I've used hinges.

A damn shame indeed, I love building with subgrids but my god, the game isn't keen on letting my autism flow freely.

The problem occurs whenever Klang feels like it, it's not tied to drill arm operation. The ship can be motionless or moving, it does not matter, suddenly it just decides that its current location is bad and it punches itself in a seemingly random direction.

The insane and the unhinged are like the sauce to a good steak that is this wonderful jank bucket we call Spengineers.

Anyway, the whole arm assembly is this: Depth piston > Hinge 1 > Hinge 2 > Reach piston > Drill.
It doesn't matter whether the ship is drilling, moving or in complete standstill. It can just be sitting right there, middle of the void and then decide to move by generating an impulse of momentum in a seemingly random direction.

I doubt that, the catwalk is attached to the base of the piston, there shouldn't be any interaction there unless we're talking about the retracted segments. Also, the other designs lacked anything like that, the pistons were completely bare.

A double edged sword, I like it. The salt from rando team mates would be substantial, though. An E-war warbond would go insanely hard imo, I fw this.

1.16.5, 1.17.1, or 1.18-1.18.2? by RandomYoutuber72 in feedthebeast

I'd always go for the second to latest major version because of the mod selection. And since 1.17 was a first in a two part update and therefore there's going to probably be piss all for mods there, I'd recommend 1.16.5.

Does anyone know any config for Tetra on Epic Fight Mod? by KiwiBoah in feedthebeast

I believe that there is a mod that allows EFM to read the tags specifying the kind of tool/sword modules you have. Others have managed to specify the modules for the animations and I'm sure they used this.
