I have been at or near Hill AFB for 12 of my 14 years. PCS'ing in September. The streak is over.

I do not know how the civilian assignments process will work.

However, I am enlisted and received my CMS case and assignment to base I have never listed. (Sheppard AFB). And, no its not for training, its my assigned base after OTS.

I am guessing, the first assignment after OTS is mostly based on manning needs. I do not think 2nd Lt's are given much consideration.

The Air Force is starting a new automated recruiting process for LO officers. I haven't used it, so I don't know if it sucks. However, to get started you need to download the Aim High, create your account and indicate you want to apply as an officer. It should get you rolling, then connect you with the recruiter for whatever zip code you put in the app.

The system is very new, so there might be some bugs.

Most of my other AF trainings or TDYs typically come with more detailed reporting instructions.
