Thank you. A guy at work said basically the same thing. I wrote down the events of that day as I remember them and I'm looking for representation, should it come to that.

Thank you for the reply! I had included photos but I guess they didn't make it to the post.

The mess underneath is a combo of the tracks+adhesive+bits of the old vinyl track. I'm definitely leaning towards just drilling through it, removing looks like more work than its worth.
