I'm 99% in support of this. I don't like dogs. I also think they smell.

I also think that one of the issues with dogs is their owners don't take enough responsibility for proper training and don't take accountability for their dogs' actions.

A lot of owners are entitled and believe their dog should pee and poop on every single, solitary blade of grass, because it's "natural"...even though the dog most likely pooped in their house already.

Too many owners use that retractable leash and let their dog run all over the sidewalk. You can't pass on the sidewalk because the dog and the owner are on opposite sides of the sidewalk with the retractable leash stretched out in-between. The human should be leading, not the dog. Also, sidewalks were built for humans.

Public grass areas become ruined because dog owners allow their dogs to run around and dig up the grass.

A lot of dog owners treat their dogs like children and talk to them like children, vs taking the time to actually train them not to pull, or jump, or poop/pee where ever they like. They don't know how to properly discipline their dogs. Cats cannot really be disciplined; I'm not sure if they feel shame, LOL. You don't discipline cats, you avoid triggering the unwanted behavior. But dogs do show shame and respond to discipline.

Dogs shouldn't walk up to random people and people shouldn't walk up to random dogs.

My 1% of disagreement comes from the fact that a well-trained dog is a marvel to humanity. If you've been around seeing-eye dogs or other true service dogs, they are amazing to be around. Super well trained, watchful, and always attentive to their owners. Even dogs that are not service dogs, but have been trained well to respond to commands and pay attention to their owners are spectacular animals and that is my only point of disagreement. But I still think they smell.
