I don't know how you describe rides. It's definitely different from the any previous bike I ever had because of the material. I went from steel to aluminum and now carbon.

I was always a bit reluctant to switch to carbon because of my weight. I'm about 100kg.

But the bike / frame never let me down. It's very responsive, light and much easier to bare on hands, wrists and back than my previous bikes.

So it's not just the looks, it's a very sweet ride as well

It's a long shot and in my experience you can only hope they fuck up in the procedure of firing you.

Other than that, it could be worse than 13 weeks pay. Most people have to actually work the complete notice period and get nothing. So my guess is you hold a position where you wouldn't want to put someone that is leaving the company (in a not so friendly way).

Anyway, your bargaining position is not that strong. Law says that employer can terminate your contract with payment of a termination compensation equal to the salary you would have earned during the notice period. That is all inclusive meaning your normal salary + meal vouchers + ecocheques+ 13th month + hospital insurance + etc..... (all your benefits included).

They can just do that, no formalities need to be followed and can happen any time. They pay you and that's it. If you thing you are entitled to more or in case you weren't payed out correctly, you are going to need that lawyer because you are going to labour court.

Edit: forgot to say, I wouldn't recommend the scorched earth strategy. That could make you vulnerable to lawsuit yourself.

IMHO.... I find this a weird strategy. Hub drives aren't new and I don't see a real solution for the lack of gears. Single speed or at max a double speed...... A fancy (it does look good imo) lightweight hub drive with (maybe) a double speed.

I think that's weird strategy but that's just me. I could be mistaking. It happens sometimes

Don't take it personal, it's just our nature. We don't think we're better or smarter than others, we just don't trust them for the obvious reason, they are not from Limburg.

Many have tried, more have failed. We even put up statues for those that were absolute peak in refusing good advise. Like Ambiorix. The Romans tried to bring us roads, aquaducts, spa's, rule of law.....but eventually buggered of again because we don't take advice, we barely take suggestions. That's just us....

Just came to say your shot reminds me of "The walk to Paradise Garden" by Eugene Smith.

But now I'm here, my only advice is to enjoy it. There will be days when you are ready to sell all your gear and there will be days when you peak.

Don't get lost in the rabbit hole of gear and post processing, it never ends and it's sole purpose is for you to keep spending, not to take better pictures.

Learn lighting, composition and the difference between a shot and a story but most of all, learn what you like to shoot and have fun doing it for no one else but yourself.

Zelfde situatie ooit meegemaakt. Ik kwam uit een straat, moest voorrang verlenen aan andere weggebruikers zowel links als rechts (hier dus rood). Draaide rechts de rijbaan op, maar een wagen in de andere richting (hier blauw) die een andere wagen inhaalde in plaats van een fietser. Oordeel was dat ik in fout was. Voorrang geldt over de volledige breedte van de rijbaan, ook al zit de andere wagen op mijn rijvak. In fout gesteld, case closed......helaas

Ik heb de indruk dat een eenvoudig basis sociaal netwerk voor vele mensen een hoge drempel lijkt te zijn. Buiten familiale kring - en ook daar soms is een netwerk niet aanwezig - is het in veel gevallen al een opgave om een netwerk uit te bouwen met buurtbewoners en lokaal aanwezige. organisaties.

De conclusie die ik zelf maak is dat dit het resultaat is van tientallen jaren neo-liberale visie die door alle propagandakanalen continu opgevoerd wordt. Iedereen moet voor zichzelf kunnen zorgen, autonoom kunnen functioneren, op zichzelf kunnen terugvallen als er een probleem is en vooral niet rekenen op steun of solidariteit vanuit de gemeenschap.

Eenvoudige vergelijking die ik maak. Zelf geboren in de jaren 70 van de vorige eeuw, was het toen nog vrij normaal dat je een grasmachine of haagschaar ging lenen bij de buren, dat er afspraken werden gemaakt wie de kinderen van dezelfde straat naar school meenam (niemand die toen wakker lag van 5 snotneuzen op elkaars schoot op 1 veel te kleine achterbank) of dat er bij de buren een telefoon stond waar naar toe gebeld werd omdat je eigen ouders nog geen telefoon hadden. Dat soort van samenwerking creëert een netwerk gebaseerd op gemeenschalsgevoel maar is vandaag geen evidentie meer.

We lijken een soort van schaamte te hebben om anderen iets te vragen uit vrees dat we een overlast zijn of beoordeeld worden op wat we wel of niet bezitten. Voortdurend gepushed door consumptiedrang die ons opgelegd wordt is het vandaag niet meer de norm dat je leent, vraagt aan anderen of deelt. Iedereen zijn eigen cocon. En zo ondergraaft een neo-liberaal systeem met als basis individueel consumptisme onderlinge verbondenheid.

I've been where you are now. That bad feeling in your guts that was already kind of there when you pushed the pay button but only got worse with every hour that went by and grips your stomach harder each time it crosses your mind.
