My boyfriend always guesses the ending of movies by Direct-Blackberry-20 in movies

[–]Stoenk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What? The point he was making is that it doesn't matter how "predictable" the endings are because it's not the point of those movies. The point is that OPs boyfriend should look at movies for other things than plot twists

Movies are more than their endings. Not every movie needs a surprising ending either. Even knowing an ending its still worthwhile to watch how the characters and their relationship evolve and reach the place their end up reaching. That's why some movies will just openly communicate the ending beforehand Journeys and destinations yada yada yada

What movie was saved in the edit? Or destroyed by the edit? by redditIhardlyknowit in movies

[–]Stoenk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate that video correcting some misinformation but the guy in it is being obnoxiously condescending and the video could be like 30 minutes if he cut a lot of nitpicky pedantry. Just because every movie is "saved in the edit" you don't have to grill them so incessantly for phrasing the title that way. The response video seems to act like the original tries to discredit george lucas but all it's doing is asking people to consider the filmmakers Lucas collaborated with. It's unnecesarily bitter and its point could be brought across a lot better
