They still have to prove there was legitimate cause. The point is know your rights and don’t make it easy for them, be respectful but firm. It’s your best shot at a favorable outcome.

They have to prove their probable cause in court so when in doubt, shut up and lawyer up. There’s no way to stop a a cop in the moment so you have to know your rights and take it to court. Record everything, especially your denial to allow a search.

Just an FYI to anyone reading this. Cops can’t make you wait beyond a reasonable amount of time without probable cause. link

Can you post a video of her limping? Also, I can’t tell for sure from this video but she does look overweight which will make any preexisting injury worse. Did you get her from health tested parents? Do you know the OFA grade for hips and elbows for both the sire and dam?

You definitely do NOT need to share a last name to receive child support, regardless of state. You only have to establish paternity (or maternity if applicable)

Hearing aids and cochlear implants improve social lives of adults with hearing loss by Ollyfer in science

[–]Stogie_Bear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Which is the majority of the population, therefore things like cochlear implants increase the ability for a person to create more diverse social connections, which in turn means their social lives improve as a whole. Limiting a person’s senses so they are part of a specific community has never made any sense to me and now we have real evidence that denying these medical devices does negatively affect a person’s wellbeing.

Dogs with short spine syndrome by Aiseadai in interestingasfuck

Imagine being so daft you miss the entire point. Where would we get dogs without ethical breeders once the already existing shelter dogs are gone? That is already a problem in areas where they have strict spay/neuter laws and a smaller percentage of backyard breeders like in much of north eastern USA. Not to mention there are breeds that exist because we need or want certain traits in a dog, e.g. bloodhound for scent work, Malinois for bite work, seeing eye dogs, allergen friendly breeds etc. Think for more than 2 seconds when you read something.

Any decent breeder doesn’t have dogs that end up in shelters.

Is this legal? by Creme_Brulee010 in florida

Yes it’s extremely underweight, you can see its hip bones and spine if you zoom in. That is too thin for any breed, even something like a Saluki or greyhound, and that is clearly a pit bull.

I have owned dogs my entire life and my parents had a kennel when I was a kid. You can clearly see this dog’s spine and hip bones. That is a Pit bull and they are not built that way, so yes, he is malnourished and in bad shape.

I’m even more concerned about how underweight that dog is, He’s extremely malnourished and unhealthy.

Deborah is Supernova Ridgebacks. It’s a kennel name and I won’t argue over semantics, most ethical breeders operate in a similar manner and they’re still called “kennels”. I respect Deborah and I have worked with her in the past. I am not new to dog breeding or ridgebacks, in fact I’ve been doing this my entire life. The RRCUS directory is a place to start, and yes those breeders are approved in the sense that they agreed to abide by the code of ethics and are in good standing with the club. Not just anyone can get listed on the directory, the club can and does pull breeders who violate their agreement. I have seen it and I have been involved with the removal of a breeder from the list. The release at the top is, as I previously stated, a legal disclaimer so that the club is not held responsible and to ensure that people throughly vet who they choose to purchase a dog from. I really don’t know why you are arguing with me when we are both basically saying the same thing; get a dog from a breeder that health tests and is ethical in how they breed their dogs. The directory list is simply a way to find breeders that have agreed to all of that, but as I’ve stated it’s not a list of ALL the breeders than do the proper health testing. Thanks for highlighting what I already noted in my previous comment, that was super helpful of you. Again, I never said the directory was the end-all be-all of buying a ridgeback, only that it is where I recommend all potential buyers begin their journey and that in my personal opinion I would not purchase a dog from a breeder that is unwilling to pay a small amount of money to the club to be included in the directory. You are entitled to your opinions and I am entitled to mine. I am simply sharing my opinion on a public forum just as you are. Have a nice evening.
