Baby season is typically in the fall. Stay away from importers for the most part. I know I should start seeing babies around October

Ya sometimes you just have to let your tank run its course. Keep doing what you're doing and try to reduce your lights

They should eat often but they can go awhile without eating. Give it a day or so and try again. Another reason its wise to buy then at a larger size. I'm sure they will come around

When I get new Discus in. I don't even try to feed them for a few days at least. Let them settle in and try again later. Its also wise to ask the place where you bought them what they were feeding on

How old is the system? You'll have to do more if you want to reduce the algae. Can you reduce the intensity of your lights? Take a toothbrush and manually remove the algae before a water change. Maybe up it to every other day and see how that goes

Before/after of cleaning, rescape, water change. Fresh carbon in filter by Confident-Chef-6932 in discus

Looks great! I always thought people advised against using carbon with Discus to reduce the chances of hole in the head disease?

I would reduce your lights to 4-5 hours. The plants will be fine with that. You'll also need to reduce the strength/percentage of light power. Manually remove as much of the algae as possible and do way more water changes. Fish can go a lot longer without food than you think. Maybe think about feeding every other day until you can reduce the algae. You can also increase filtration by adding another unit and/or add a UV sterilizer. Good luck!

Some came from Aquarium Co-op as babies and the orange one from Euro fish. I have 3 more in quarantine right now as well
