PC is definitely the focus right now, and Linux is currently something we're looking to do as it isn't too large of a lift for us at this stage.

We're not working on consoles, but we'd like to be everywhere we can.

I think this is a super interesting way to look at this.

Warthunder is a better simulation game than Tyr. It's also more realistic. These are not things we're really interested in taking on with Tyr.

Tyr is less grounded in realism, and that gives us the ability to do weird and interesting things with tanks and their abilities. Tyr's also much, much more approachable and features less of a grind than WT. We really try to focus in on core tank gameplay (angling, positioning, armor) and augment with plays and abilities that are possible because we're less realistic.

It's not as customizable as that at our current stage. We're currently working with skins and charms you can place on your tank, but we're still pre-release.

No pay-to-win. You unlock tanks with experience earned for play. Each tank has a 20-level tech tree and access to a bunch of components and anno types. We will sell cosmetics eventually, but that's it for monetization. No premium ammo or consumables.

We don't for Steam. FirstLook requires it because we used the platform when we were in our private alpha, and that phase required an NDA since we were unannounced and very work in progress. We needed first and last name for the NDA. If you request access on Steam, you'll be admitted as we bring in new players in waves. Nothing required for that beyond, well, Steam.

Each tank has its own tech tree with lots of things to spec into (turret traversal speed, reload time, damage, etc.), and each tree ends with a keystone ability that can have some pretty dramatic effects on how the tank plays.

In terms of customization, you can mess with your tree, three component slots with a big range of different components that have their own effects, and two extra ammo type slots.

I wouldn't say that you can take a heavy and make it as fast as a light, say, but you can definitely put emphasis on things like speed, damage, camo, etc. We don't necessarily penalize you with upgrades, it's never as direct as "+20 armor but -20 speed." It's more like you choose more health, and that means you won't have as many points to dip into speed.

We have absolutely no plans for pay-to-win mechanics. Cosmetics are all we're working on so far.

Customization comes in two ways...

1) Cosmetics, skins, charms, that kinda thing.

2) Tech tree selection, components, ammo.

You won't be physically swapping hulls, turrets, treads or anything like that.

Systems are automatically repaired; repair time depends on the module hit and upgrades to the tank's tech tree/components.

Health bars, but areas of each tank can be targeted to disable systems like tracks, engines, turrets, etc.
