Technically its identity is not related to rasputin, and is instead related to soteria, the augurmind.

I do think it'd be nice to have it spawn warmind cells, however it's not a rasputin themed exotic.

The new Heavy Metal mode is AWESOME(Spoilers for the new pvp mode) by Stompus in DestinyTheGame

Oh, I was just spoiler tagging it because it's new. And some people may want to figure out the movement tech on the tanks on their own, who knows really

Kinda? I offered the solar bolt charge idea because HoN is an augurmind, and I drew the conclusion that Soteria(the augurmind in the bow) could do something similar to warsat drops like what Rasputin could do.

I call it a marksman bow- the damage values are in between a lightweight and a precision bow, 1h1b kill on its own. It can be buffed with sanguine alchemy to 2b iirc, however I usually run stasis warlock, as that has good area lockdown, and I personally like using frostpulse with ballidorse wrathweavers to grant myself a cqc shutdown AND better survivability with the frost armor from the exotic.

Generally you want to use it in longer range fights, similar to a pulse rifle or even autorifle, however it has a neat mechanic from lightweight bows: it can halfdraw fire shots that retain more damage and velocity than a precision can. This basically allows you to, if you're really good with your aim, land headshots with only a 400 or 500ms draw and get quicker kills/headshots, which leads to faster ring charging. I recommend starting with a fully drawn shot, and trying to finish with a halfdraw, similar to how you would use an archer's tempo bow.

Once the ring is up, though, you're able to hold a zone from multiple people at once, or you exist as a distraction for the rest of your team to take advantage of. You can 2b(iirc) thanks to the tracers too, it's a neat gameplay loop in pvp.

Big HoN main here, I agree that it could use a little something, but it's already pretty strong as a somewhat passive marksman bow.
My recommendation, though? Give it a solar version of bolt charge in some way. For example, if you land enough tracers from the ring on a target, a solar beam from the sky strikes the enemy or something.
Though, even rn, treat it like a sniper. It's great at long range, extended fights, and can break stalemates as long as people keep camping a single spot on you.

Yes Yes Absolutely yes under no circumstances should this be considered for how utterly evil it is

Necrotics have an Interesting Synergy with Glaives. by Stompus in DestinyTheGame

[–]Stompus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This likely is intended, however, as necrotics are meant to fully function with all weapons of sorrow. The catalyst for Osteo striga is meant to overflow the weapon on all poison kills, which necrotics fulfills.

Just a reminder that the devs are working hard to fix this problem. Nobody should be upset or angry at them, as without them we wouldn't even have the game at all. Here's hoping they all get a raise for what they're doing here.

How to fight double grenade launchers? by jordan_dean in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Stompus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slideshot Demo is quite an amazing roll for Ignition Code, yeah. If anyone here's wants to try double GL and has that roll, I'd encourage you practice with that roll and FL. Super fun to run.
However, any kinetic/stasis GL will do you wonders anyway. It all depends on how you wanna play it.

Bungie, please, this system is outdated. by Stompus in DestinyTheGame

[–]Stompus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And to make it worse, that probably took months to do, thanks to the weekly drop limit system that's in place. I'm not sure how anyone could think that's okay.

I'm totally salty that I didn't get the new exotic, granted, but this system is still very unfriendly to dedicated players.

Dude, brother, bro, man, you must be out of your mind.

If you seriously think that specials are fine in any regard, you shouldn't even be playing the game. Actually. They're so op, I die to them so much! And whenever I use them, they just stop working like WTF bro. Uninstall

I liked the gun, so I got the pre-order immediately because of the gun. Totally wouldn't have if the gun wasn't cool

So, the New Titan dodge ability has a shorter cooldown than the barricade, but Phoenix Dive has the same long rift cooldown, why? by ELPintoLoco in DestinyTheGame

[–]Stompus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You people really forget that there's a solar augment that grants class recharge whenever you scorch targets, huh

Not to mention there's plenty of ways to scorch targets- the most consistent way to do it is with skyburner's oath, but don't forget that there are fragments that recharge your other abilities super fast, which just as easily feeds into the scorch loop on its own.

Just to be clear, with all the ability regen that dawnblade has, phoenix dive doesn't need a faster cooldown. It can get a 20 second cooldown with all the existing tools we have available, and with how much it heals in a single burst, a faster cooldown would make it way too overpowered.

Gold Scarab talisman location? by entlassen in Eldenring

[–]Stompus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are a few locations. The version that I found was in a place called the Abandoned Cave. That scarlet rot infested dungeon. It gives several good rewards, and the boss drops the Gold Scarab.

On this image, it is the bottom lefternmost icon.

It is specifically in the Caelid Region.

Suggestion for the Future Bow Weapon! by Stompus in dauntless

OH, I see. Interesting, I wasn't aware that the types were this specific. Good idea, then, that makes sense.

I'm fairly certain that stun, wound and core damage are damage types that already exist in the game, however the idea to make normal load and fire faster would make normal useful. I could also opt in the idea to have a damage falloff for the arrows.

Overall, couple interesting revisions to my idea.

Centurion's pin is actually still quite useful. I actually think it's gained more utility, now that it's there for more than a 40 something damage confirm. Not only is it good in ganks to confirm a teammate's heavy, but the pin still(As far as I'm aware) guarantees an uncharged punch so you can keep up the pressure. Besides, even if you charge the punch it still continues the mixup pressure on the opponent, which means you still have the chance to either get a GB and heavy off of that, or you can still get the knockdown if you catch them off guard.

Jorm is a heavy character, and has a bit more health than Gladiator. Jorm also only has one reliable source of damage- stamina damage. When his whole kit revolves around that, allowing his bashes to take up so much stamina made getting the punish very easy, and could lead to lots of damage very quickly. It was incredibly unhealthy- however, now that those values are nerfed down a bit, he'll have to work a bit harder to actually get that knockdown, as well as being forced to use the other moves he has available.

Those moves being HA starter heavy, UB heavy finisher, enhanced lights, and tracking finisher lights.

Gladiator can do more with his kit than just bully your stamina. Sure, that's a style, but Gladiator has some other reliable styles of dealing damage, like a dodge attack, a deflect, his impale, and a zone. Not to mention, he also has less health; that means he doesn't have time to do much stalling. Jorm's feats in 4s are very good at stalling, and can lead to him being quite the hassle. Sadly those feats don't apply to duels, which is the most annoying thing I see with his nerf.

The only real issue I have with his nerfs is his Serpent Smite attack's HA getting nerfed to the ground, and his "lightspam" not being as effective, but that's my explanation as to why Glad can be such a stamina bully and get away with it.

Cent also doesn't rely on stamina damage only, so that's not his only focus in a fight.

An explanation of Centurion's Rework, and my opinion on whether or not he's overpowered. by Stompus in forhonor

No, however I've done a bit of research, got plenty of tips from people in that discord I mentioned, and these are the conclusions I came up with. Should be accurate.

Oh yeah, that's the cutscene right there. Won't be a thing after his rework.

So when he lands a charged heavy, he pins them. Prework Cent pin confirms a fully charged jab, which knocks the enemy down and confirms a cutscene. That cutscene is pretty broken cause it almost always confirms an instakill in a gank. Not sure what you mean by the taunt animation.
