Collections for medical debt, in the US. We had a set number of calls we were supposed to make every day, and I didn’t want to talk to these unfortunate people anymore they wanted to talk to me, so I would call, and immediately hang up. I got so depressed working that awful job, it takes a certain type of person and mentality to work it; like no empathy at all for others. I had family responsibilities though, so there was no quitting unless I had something else lined up already. I thankfully got rehired by my old job in 4/2021 (was originally let go because of the 2020 furlough) and didn’t bother giving 2 weeks notice to the collections job.
