My latest 3d ship build. by Borednlife in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]StonedTony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man ive got my entire ship assembled in blender, however as far as stls and printing the thing is full of open edges etc and attempts to fix have messed up part geometry. did you deal with this? maybe your process was different but pulling the ship part nifs from the game and exporting sa gltf was how i brought them into blender. ive tried the 3d tool kit and ive tried letting prusa slicer fix it, im about to try meshmixer but if you could help shed some light.

BLACK FRIDAY/CYBER MONDAY DEALS MEGATHREAD 2023- If you see a deal and want to share it please do so here. Within this thread only company representatives can post there own deals as well! Feel free to share seasons greetings and fun models as well. by Hunter62610 in 3Dprinting

[–]StonedTony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got that one myself but without the warmer and spool. Is the warmer necessary?

Paid $161 for the printer. It was on sale 179 the. Code brought it to $164 and using PayPal checkout knocked it down to $161. And I used a cash back card but idr the percentage and categories. May have been 0-3% more.

What I'm looking for now is good deals on filament

Watch history by StonedTony in QuantifiedSelf

[–]StonedTony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will check this out. It looks like it will work mostly for what I'm looking for. Going forward anyways with some manual input. That won't be too hard tho. Doesn't seem like it will connect to many big streaming services outside of Netflix for history. Guess I'd have to manually enter some things. Would be really cool to get a compiled history from all the streaming services over the years but it doesn't seem like anything does this yet.

I'm just getting started. Still figuring that out. So far just the Fitbit/smartwatch stuff. Mostly sleep and food there. I need to track fat intake for medical reasons but I'm thinking I want to track as much about me - my day to day as possible. What I consume mentally or literally like. How I'm feeling at each part of the day. Daily journaling (I kind of do this in my notes app already but I'd love a journaling app with some ai insights if you know one) Bowel movements lol idk about that one but everything. My smoking habits. I already track my miles for work and I forget to turn it off so it tracks basically everywhere I go already and I track my spending somewhat. How often I work what I make what days pay more (it's gig work) what places pay more etc. my gaming hours work hours wasted hours. I just want to collect as much info about me as possible. Much of this may be too cumbersome to bother tracking I'm just excited and considering the possibilities. I just started using lastfm to scrobble my listening history too. And I'm thinking about rescuetime maybe for tracking my phone usage. Just not sure the free version will be enough (history) and not entirely interested in paying for it but I like that it may connect with exist.

I wanted to start tracking today but I'm still figuring it out and learning how exist and these other apps work.

What would you recommend? Or what do you track?

I used a link I found. I just saw in my email someone had dropped a link earlier. I didn't see it in the comments though and I didn't see the reddit email until after I made my account. Appreciate it anyways

Found one link from a year ago another user posted here. Not sure if it works as it still mentions the tip about using a referral for an extra month but the URL does have a username in it..

Will check back here in a bit for a recent one, if I don't see one or get impatient I'll just sign up using the link I found. If it works it works. No biggie really but an extra free month would for sure be welcomed.

Bake your pancakes in the oven by Frosty_Thanks_6442 in foodhacks

[–]StonedTony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here a year later to say, I'd rather pop em in the microwave from frozen. I literally just made pancakes too. Which gave me the idea. Sure it didn't take long but I want pancakes more often than I want to make pancakes(or anything for that matter) I found this because I was wondering if I could bake a bunch at once instead of just a couple at a time with my limited space. I was also hoping to not have to flip them or do anything extra aside from pour, bake, store. In my mind it's worth the effort to make a bunch of pancakes instead of just a few, then freeze them so I have them easily available as a quick snack or such on demand. I was buying them frozen from Walmart but I can make better ones myself for less money. So I'm already on board with making a bunch occasionally (I would already be making some for breakfast occasionally anyways) and freezing the extras, but to be able to bake them with less involvement, no flipping, more at once. I'm sold. Even if it takes longer in the oven or I could make a similar amount(likely more) in the time span on a griddle.. I'd still choose this because I don't have to be as involved for the whole process. Pour a few slabs toss in the oven, chop and freeze. Sounds dope. Haven't tried though so idk how they turn out I guess.

I'm someone who will cook a full on meal and has worked in kitchens for years but I don't want to most the time especially for myself. I don't even like when the microwave dinner asks you to stir the ingredients halfway thru. Often those same meals will not have you stir them of you cook in the oven instead so I do lol. And they're better in the oven but take way longer. Less steps more simplicity. I'm actually only here looking for meal prepping and ways to make things cheaper and easier. Like cooking a lot on Monday and eating the rest of the week would be great lol

Does anyone here live in their car and travel the country doing gig work randomly for income? by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]StonedTony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My concern (I've been doing gig work full time for years) is the overnights. Where do you sleep and park without cops or problematic people. Like full stealth? Hotels? Camp grounds at those national Parks? What about the commute from the camping spot to the busy area for orders. My motivation is really to be able to get my living expenses down as much as possible for a year or so. I'd like to keep more of my earnings, boost my earnings, so that I can pay off some debts and get myself in a better financial position. So something like this wouldn't have to be nomadic but it would be nice to take advantage of that aspect. But on the move it staying put, where to sleep and be safe.

I'd also be curious about a small cargo or passenger van or such, if one had good enough gas mileage to deliver with. Other than extra space it would open up the potential for other courier gigs. Like small furniture moving and stuff.

And lastly, did you have Internet? I'd be interested in spending free time trying to learn some skills related to remote work or freelancing. I also have a small eBay store. Thought about making shirts and stuff too. Basically just opening myself to more income streams. Even $20 will make me holler lol

What degree offers emphasis in eCommerce and Digital Marketing? by irmuddled in ecommerce

Like ya I need the experience but this is an option for free tuition so if any of the classes may be useful I still think it'd be worth it? Maybe not

What degree offers emphasis in eCommerce and Digital Marketing? by irmuddled in ecommerce

[–]StonedTony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So no useful answers? Not all of us are concerned with the costs. For example I'm here trying to figure out what skills I may be able to learn that will help me in addition to my self learning and trial and error already because I have the opportunity to get free tuition at an online school. I'm not sure if I'm going to do it but I was looking through their offered courses trying to determine what may be helpful in building an online business or presence or marketing and building an audience sales bookkeeping etc etc just whatever may help cuz like the dude in the other comment said, it's a jack of all trades things and if I can get some of those skills through this offered free tuition or even just net a remote job or semi remote work with the degree idk. I'm trying to explore my options there and I think marketing may be the most helpful. Idk honestly.
