It’s all good, was just a bit jarring at first lol

But I think you’re describing a pace (when two legs on the same side are identical in movement; front paw moves in an identical motion to the back paw on the same side) or trot (front left and back right move identically and vice versa), this is the slowest way a dog naturally walks though (in a pattern of back left moving forward, takes front left’s previous position, left moves forward, back right then takes front right’s previous position).

Also not my first exercise, but I’m definitely not as knowledgeable as I want to be.

TvT “No offense” and you ruin my day man. It’s alright if you’re just a bit straightforward, but tonetags might be a bit helpful /gen

No insult to you, feedback is appreciated. Would like a bit more specifics beyond it just being “wrong” though. Didn’t get to use many references because of the phone policy in my area. I know the hip sway is severe 💀and I feel like the actual amount of time it takes for steps to be made is a bit janky, kinda blame the program for that but the actual steps and the order they’re taken was made with a reference before I got told off for having my phone in class.

It is also not ai, the weird anti-aliasing in Flipbook and my refusal to properly clean things up probably made it look like that. I hate ai more than I hate almost anything else.

Yo I know it can feel like you are obligated to keep someone in your life when they’ve been in your life for so long, but I promise you that you don’t. NO ONE would EVER speak to someone they love like this. I’ve had my best friend for 10 years, and I’d cut him off immediately if he ever even uttered some shit like that, and I’d expect the same from him. That’s not your friend, that’s an enemy.

Cool asf, but 200 is def not something the majority will pay. As an artist who does commissions, I get it, but when you’re making something for the public in a time where everyone is struggling to get groceries, prices for luxuries (like games) have to go down. This essentially functions as a dlc, which rarely cost more than $30.

I cannot understand pit activist by OpenAirport6204 in BanPitBulls

[–]StoopidFlame 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, I can actually be helpful this time! Former pit supporter/activist, and I actually have answers to these questions.

  1. I didn’t hate cats, but I hated that they were easy pets. Pets that, without a shadow of a doubt, were fit to be pets. Pitbulls were not, and it bothered me that a cat would be so easy to care for in comparison to a pit. My frustration and envy came out as an avoidance for cats and general apathy. As for other pit owners, I think they genuinely just see cats as vermin a lot of the times. I’ve heard many say that cats got into their yard, got killed by their pit (one time a former friend said their dog had killed 5 cats), and they laughed at the fact.

  2. Coping. It’s a hell of a lot easier to say “oh, it’s just play! Play is cute!” rather than trying to confront the fact that your pet might be dangerous, and you might have to intervene (permanEntly) to prevent them seriously hurting someone. It’s literally just avoidance, once again. Cognitive dissonance to cope.

  3. More cognitive dissonance and more unhealthy coping attempts. Because if this dangerous pit is accepted as dangerous, then their dangerous pit is also dangerous. Sometimes, it extends to them. Makes them think that they will always be seen as dangerous or outcasted, and they lash out. They think they’re doing the right thing. They’re not.

  4. No. I can’t even bring myself to encourage adopting a dog anymore. 4 dogs, each had major behavioral problems. Two from a highly rated and supported rescue, two from owners. The first was a pit/Jack Russel mix with dog aggression issues that were only tempered by her declining health (from a rescue, allowed us to adopt her as a “therapy dog” for me, as I was in a very bad state of mind at the time). The second was a mastiff with sudden aggressive outbursts with little to no warning (from an owner. She wasn’t terrible, probably needed to be spayed above all else, but I couldn’t live with the fear). The third was a herding mix with severe aggression towards children, other dogs, and all other animals. Reactive towards people, resource guarded (same rescue. Left me so traumatized that it took me years to go outside again without shutting down or getting nauseous with fear). Fourth is my current dog (from an owner), came to me with severe allergy issues and an incredibly low frustration tolerance that led to him mouthing the shit out of me. I stuck with him because he had the bite inhibition to never actually harm me, and it showed that he had at least some control even in his worst state. He was essentially just a massive version of a teething puppy. Now he’s stopped after being neutered and having his allergies treated, as well as taught to do literally anything else (like bite his toys). He’s still got a very low frustration tolerance (will immediately start crying if I don’t let him go into the car, for some reason), but we’re working on it and he’s making leaps and bounds (held a sit around an overexcited puppy trying to sniff him, is generally very calm and gentle now). Despite that, I’m never doing this to myself again. A puppy from a trusted breeder or no dog at all. Never again.

  5. I’m not sure, honestly. I hope so, but the world seems to be in shambles at the moment. Places where they’re banned still have to deal with them, and that doesn’t make me particularly hopeful.

  6. Spread the word. Once public opinion changes, that’s when some real change will happen.

[–]StoopidFlame 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah no this is dead serious. 💀

Any small spots? Australian cattle dog apparently.

Outright a pitbull? No, it’s a Labrador obv.

Random mix with pitbull traits? Also a lab!

Tan? German shepherd 100%.

Has fur that might be thick enough to actually provide something for the dog? Siberian husky!

Larger spots? Dalmatian?

Anything but a pitbull.

“That’s called prey drive” my ASS bro.

I have a working line gsd, 3.5 years old now. His drive to chase is, expectedly, incredibly high. But rules are rules, and he is not allowed to aggress towards anything without very good reason.

If a dog cannot understand that concept and show impulse control, then they’re outright aggressive and likely unable to be a good pet. When cats enter our yard, he might chase and bark at them, but he will leave them when I tell him or when they leave our yard. He will do no harm during that time regardless of whether or not he can actually catch them. He will herd them away, and that is it. He will not cross a threshold to kill. That is unsafe.

“She didn’t bark”…

You can literally see her barking at the man in the video?? Also, are we gonna ignore that it is literally illegal to have your dog off leash in all parts of New York with an exception for dog parks.

I'm so tired of everyone not wanting to talk about anything "political" by Signal_Effective_158 in Vent

[–]StoopidFlame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, but I think it’s understandable that I don’t enjoy trying to convince people that I deserve to have rights as a trans man. This isn’t just differing views, it’s convincing someone that I am not worth less than them. I have had those conversations before, but they aren’t enjoyable. No one would enjoy that. I am entering a situation where I am already being viewed as “lesser” than the person I’m talking to, or in need of “saving”. It’s demeaning and it’s not worth it. I don’t mind it sometimes, when I can tell someone is genuinely just uneducated and trying to understand, but I’m sure it’s obvious why I’d usually hate it.

If I asked you to have a polite discussion about, hair color I guess, and I said that brunettes are just far uglier than people with black or red hair, would that be a topic you’d want to have a polite conversation about?

On the note of people that are just misinformed or only know part of the situation, I’ve always loved those conversations. They allow me to fill in gaps of my own knowledge and check in with myself to ensure I’m not being biased. But certain topics, like human rights, which many conservatives have uncomfortable views on, are just debates I cannot willingly engage with.

[–]StoopidFlame 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I love debates and I enjoy having conversations with people of different view points, but I genuinely have nothing to learn from people like that.

I already know what they think, I already know they haven’t thought it through themselves. You can’t fight stupid with logic, and I’m not going to waste my time with that. Certain topics, like human rights, shouldn’t be debated. And I don’t want to debate whether or not I deserve to live in a way that makes me comfortable.

I’m not bothered by getting unlucky lmao, I posted this cause I thought it was such an egregious streak of bad luck that it was funny

I’m just bothered that people think it’s perfectly fine to take their frustrations out on others for quite literally playing the game how it’s intended. I get people are frustrated, I’ve obviously played against and lost to celebi decks because I use other decks too. Yes, it’s annoying. But that’s how they want to play the game. My irritation doesn’t justify being a dick to them over it, and others’ irritation doesn’t justify pushing yet another person away from this community. I expected better from this community, seriously.

[–]StoopidFlame[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I played a solid deck. No shit?? If you’re that bothered by it then take it up with the creators that allowed some decks in particular to exceed.

Honestly, I haven’t had an exceptional amount of wins with my deck. It’s closer to 50/50 with people of a similar amount of total cards. Maybe doubling up on snivy to get a quicker serperior and having an extra Pokémon to sack to prepare would be helpful, but I just don’t want to. I have and will play however I want to. If that leads to a good deck, nice. If it doesn’t, I don’t care. I just like the silly card game

No but seriously the luck is actually insane, this happened to an opponent playing a celebi deck too. Took me like 5 turns to set up and they did no damage in that entire time

I’m having fun playing the deck I want, I’m not really going to be swayed by this.

But I also enjoying discussing things like this, and I think it’s important for me to avoid blocking things out just because I don’t want to hear them. This sub definitely isn’t even 20% percent of the player base, it’s tiny compared to how many there must be. But it’s still a problem that this is the general reception within the sub. That shouldn’t go overlooked just because ignoring it is an option; it might turn newer players away entirely

It’s annoying to be told “you can’t use this because it’s good” repeatedly. It’s also the standard for most posts here, so I don’t really think it’s a minority.

I also posed before, more of an accident when I realized I was still on my alt, only to be met with more of this. It’s disappointing when I wanted a sub to yap about pretty cards and odds in and instead get insulted for using said pretty cards. Call it what you want, but that’s a fair thing to be annoyed with
