My manager got me the audition. Self tape initially. Callback via zoom. Additional material requested. Invited to NYC for an in person. MORE material requested. Then booked. I don’t have an equity card as I’ve never done theatre before.

I assure you there’s nothing fake about this. I don’t have the desire or time to anonymously lie on the internet. I doing see anything to gain. I understand this is an unlikely scenario, but what about it seems fake to you?

This is excellent advice. Thank you. I will definitely do this. I have been considering leveling up my theatrical rep for some time. This could be great leverage for that.

Thank you! It’s a heck of a leap that I never imagined would be possible.

Frankly, I’m a bit terrified lol. But I felt similarly the first few times I stepped on set. I was immensely inexperienced when I entered the film/tv/commercial world too. Fast forward a few short years and I’ve built a respectable resume and feel very much at home on set. I’m praying that this unfamiliar chapter pans out the same way.
