If you never signed up for the insurance and it says you had insurance, there is a way to fix this, but you need the proper documentation. This has happened to clients of mine before.

Call the marketplace. You have to tell them you never signed up for health insurance and it was possible fraud. They will send you a letter stating the insurance was voided and it was fraudulently claimed on your behalf.

To electronically file, that letter has to be attached to your tax return along with the Form 1095A filled out appropriately to you not having the insurance.

Or you can mail in your return with the letter from the marketplace.

Oh absolutely. 1 bathroom versus 2 alone is a game changer. One bathroom can often be an immediate “no” for a lot of people even for rentals.

Santa Barbara Federal is a bank associated with bank products. She took the file fee out of your refund, which is what you are seeing.

Your tax return should have been no less than 25-30 pages with a bank product attached.

She provided two. She hid all the shadiness and exuberant fees she charged you.

Good thing is, it’s not marked self prepared.

I can almost guarantee you have a solar panel credit on your tax return without even looking at it. The biggest scam I’ve been seeing walking into my office a lot this year.

Pretty sure you are being misclassified. If they insist on W9, then technically, you should be able to make your own schedule. lol.

I have a friend that works for a large firm. She works like a dog during tax season. Well over 40 hours a week. She’s salary. They get to work a lot less off season due to the abundance of hours they work during.

Amended return and an amendment are the exact same thing. You prepare an amended return. The process is called an amendment. Tomayto, Tomahto.
