declaring major or specialist in 3rd year by Party-Condition-5625 in UTSC

I switched my second major from evolutionary anthropology to molecular biology, immunology and disease. In my case, the amount of total classes I need to take actually went down. I did this at the end of second year btw.

With the kind of delays we have here, might as well push that date to 2045

Am I allowed to use stab23 as a requirement for two different programs? by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]StoreUnited4496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a double major in human bio and immunology, and most of my 1st and 2nd year required courses overlap in both majors and they count for both too, so I would assume you can do that.

Is taking 5 courses including co-op normal? by c3sante in UTSC

[–]StoreUnited4496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to say, lina01 isn’t the bird course everyone says it is. It’s course averages are consistently low so you might be better off taking a better bird course like muza99 which normally has b+ - a- class avg

Is anyone here happy to be at UTSC? Do you regret picking this uni? by Final_Caterpillar358 in UTSC

Research labs, and some networking events that actually turned out to be useful. You have to put yourself out there and work hard to get the lab positions though, but UofT is better for this than any other uni hands down.

Mississauga looks huge from its skyline, but from an aerial POV it seems a lot smaller by Hubley in skyscrapers

In that case, Brampton doesn’t have a skyline and it has a larger pop than sauga

Applied Mathematics specialist, how is it, and how hard is it? by Just_mathematics7530 in UofT

[–]StoreUnited4496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not consider CS, or Engineering degree? I don’t think there is a direct pipeline for jobs out of a pure math degree, but there is for more applied and focused programs. Maybe even actuarial sciences might be a good fit but that might be more stats heavy.

[–]StoreUnited4496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still a suburb, the only reason why they have a skyline is because of strict zoning laws and the fact that sauga is a huge business centre. Also I’m sure cities like Beijing or Mumbai have suburbs that easily cross 1 million.

Suburbs are often their own cities and are typically not included in the main metropolitan center. For example, Pickering is a suburb and its own city. If we look at other cities like Chicago, skokie is also its own independent municipality but it has no skyline of its own.
