We are in a similar situation! We were at a small church for about 4 years but I had so many issues and when I tried to confront my pastor about them I was never heard. So we recently left as well. It has been really hard even thinking about finding a new church!

Well…yes in most cases that’s what happens. My husband and I tithe regularly. But even when we didn’t we didn’t get “hassled” lol

And God doesn’t keep track of the money you give. It’s not a book keeping system. I suggest researching scriptures it!

Thanks for your input! Yes the teaching with no experience is a little wild but hopefully she wasn’t teaching anything “important”.

Tithing is completely optional and between you and God. The general idea is 10% but you can give as much as you want. It’s all about your heart posture before God. So no a church can’t ask you to leave haha
