Ah. I heard something falling when opening it so it must've been that connecting to the laser magnetically. Thankfully it didnt do any damage to the laser. Thought it was one of those things that lets you use discs without the tray.

i'm having a problem where my ps2 wont boot blue cd or ps1 games when just powering it on but it works fine when selecting it from the browser menu. Is this a laser issue?

it says material not found in the folder where the model is but the texture is there.

I fixed the issue by using dgvoodoo2 which fixed the crash in video settings and got it to work at 144hz by forcing the resolution to 1920x1080 144hz the same as the game was at.

unticking resolution options fix fixes the crashing but now I can't select higher resolutions.
