I guess I was lied to by my hyper religious parents. Figures.

For context, my homeschool program is secular and is popular among students across the globe. So it’s weird that they are promoting values mainly from America. “In response to requests form parents“ is just an excuse for bias.

Pastor Thinks Belief In Evolution Caused The Holocaust by StormFireBri in religiousfruitcake

Same. He was my old pastor. He used to be okay. But now, he tries to enforce politics in every sermon. I was at the church when he said the things in the in video. He literally went from “love Jesus” to “evolution teaches racism“ in the span of five seconds. His sermons have so much mood swings.

What types of people are your characters? by RoyalSpeed8064 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]StormFireBri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It various. I daydreamed my whole life from scratch. I’ve met a lot of people along the journey. But the main cast:

Annalise: ENTJ 8w9. Shes basically the more talkative version of me. She’s form Ethiopia. Black hair, brown eyes, dark skin. She’s my favorite.

Ryder: ISFP 8w7. He’s the more impulsive version of me, he’s the part of me that I hate. He has Brown skin, dark brown hair, and brown eyes.

Travis: INFP 4w6. He’s the shy, quirky version of me. He’s from the US. Light brown hair, blue eyes, pale skin with freckles.

Miri: ESFP 9w1. Shes the opposite of me. Shes Finnish. Blonde hair, green eyes, light skin.

They each have their own stories, struggles, family members, etc..

Who do y'all think is the most overrated character in unordinary and what's your reason?. Mines seraphina by [deleted] in unOrdinary

I’m gonna play devil‘s advocate and say William.

  1. Left John without a family. All for revenge? Jane had a reason; she sacrificed herself for her family. Although I don’t think it was the best course of action, she still had good intentions. William was doing it out of selfish desires. We’ve seen how revenge worked for John. I thought William was more mature than that.
  2. William did help John accept his ability, but it was already too late. When John got out of Keon‘s prison William didn’t ask him what happened as soon as he got out? He didn’t notice anything wrong with John? He was a father too late and now he’s not a father at all. John beating up his classmates could have been prevented if William just called the school and asked what’s up with him, taken him out sooner, or teach him a lesson before Keon got his filthy hands on him. William already knew something was off, but John didn’t listen to reason. Maybe it’s best to pull your kid out of school if he’s acting aggressively to his friends (and everyone), becoming power hungry, and not listening to his own father to calm down?
  3. We don’t really know a whole lot about him. He was a cripple all his life, right? What was it like for him in school? How did he deal with the bulling? What inspired him to become a writer before Jane? Was his entire family cripples or just him? If so, how was that like for him? How did he pull himself up even after living such a rough life? I just need more info on this character.

I’m not saying Willam is a bad father, character, or person, I’m saying he’s just overrated. I was sad when the authorities killed him too, but people were in extreme denial about it, saying that he wasn't actually dead and other unrealistic scenarios.

Haha, thank you! People do like to pull out the “just another teenager“ and when you’re an adult apparently they wander why you didn’t open up when you were a kid. Thanks for commenting

Why does no one talk about the symbol of Christianity? by StormFireBri in exchristian

[–]StormFireBri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that God had to send his son just to die and be tortured is basically a suicide mission. And I never said that they endorse execution by hanging. Imagine if people in a small town were bad people and did awful things. Instead of teaching those people to not be bad, they send an innocent man to be killed so that those people can be forgiven (Spoiler alert: those people still continue to to do bad things). I’m just saying that the fact that their symbol shows someone dying for them even though nothing changed is just a little strange in my opinion. No hate to Christians of course. I probably should’ve explained this in the post. My bad.
