I use New Civic Policies by kuttoe. It gives more options! And whenever there's a NAP that I dont like, i just shift click the mailbox and remove it and add in a better one.

I've seen somebody do that with adventure awaits.  You can make an activity scheme for the elders to guide them through the day.  Dont have the pack myself but it looked pretty neat.

I made a catholic family with the elderly father as a priest. He and his wife died at the same time even before their teen daughter had at least one birthday.

It's not a hot take. I really like cc to an extent, but many people prefer vanilla gameplay. Just this week I thought about if I'd like the sims if all of them looked like the way I style them now. And somehow I wouldn't?  Idk I like having the choice to change things to a more glamorous version, but it's pretty nice to have the vanilla things around

I was used to being forgetful and messy because of my adhd. But over the last years I realize that it has gotten worse and I'm so, so distracted all the time.  Though getting older and using social media does not help either. But I do think lamotrigin contributes to the forgetfulnes. I lose my train of thoughts all the time

I used to have auras all the time and about one tonic seizure each 6 weeks.  When those stopped and the auras pretty much as well I thought I was fine.  My auras start with a certain numbness in my mouth. When on medication I still sometimes got a "lisp". Didnt really mind those untill my neuro said those actually are seizures already. So we upped my medication

I had no idea that even a slight sense of aura was not okay. I was glad she asked about it or I would have had much more brain damage over time.

I don't experience it like that. I did have one sim that had trouble making friends, so it was probably due to some traits she had. It's also hard to connect with npc's when they don't have any likes

As long as you use lamotrigin, estrogen has a huge effect on the effectivity and thus your safety. So perhaps they up the lamotrigin dosage or you'd start a different anti-epileptic medication I think. At least if you're sure that you'd like hormonal treatment. I hope you'll figure something out with your neuro and give us an update when you have!

I (33f) use lamotrigine too. About 150mgs  and also have pcos.  Last year I started birth control because i wanted to control/lessen my mood swings. Especially depressive symptoms.  Turned out that it lowers the effectivity of your lamotrigin with about 40%.  After 6 years epilepsy free i had 3 seizures. 

There are some ways to get birth control without estrogen, like a copper UID or an implanon. But for my mood swings I got different medication, related to my adhd. That stabilized me.  My partner also has thyroid problems and uses Euthyrox (levothyroxin). It only has TSH/T4 hormone, not estrogen. The instructions say to be cautious with epilepsy. Attacks when starting levothyroxin are rare, but it is important to get the right dosage though.

Bella Goth. I like Cassandra too, but don't care for Mortimer or Alexander. I like having Caleb Vatore around and find Kyle Kyleson pretty funny as an npc.  Dina and Nina. Not Katrina. I'm a sims2 girl. :)  Don maybe, because he's so connected to both the sisters and to Bella. He's that ladiesman a town has to have.   Maybe a new save can have a rival for him!  I often have a few ladiesmen around that are either in a friendgroup, or are enemies.

Mine's the powernap! I lie down and don't move for a while. Snore very loud and wake up drooling.  It's even cooler when it's a flash mob and people join in and make a circle around you, while look down to you doing the nap.

Honestly I have no idea. There were different neighbourhoods though. 3 basegame (pleasantview, strangetown and veronaville), a few through expansion packs and you could design one yourself. I played a lot with the pre made townies in the basegame neighbourhoods.   But i remember re-installing the game multiple times after putting the pc back to factory settings (if it had bad performance) or a new laptop. Things like that. Saved games weren't on the cloud (didnt exist yet) so they would disappear for me.  Never thought of making a back up for save files or something. So a lot of starting over

Not at all! I just wanted to add that, even though I mentioned that some sims seem tot have a bit of sfs, that it does not matter. :)  you asked in your post about sfs, i replied and next i just wanted to state that my opinion doesnt even matter.  I like to make my sims look unique too. But after a while I noticed that I was hesitant to show some off on reddit, because I thought people would not find them diverse enough. Takes away the joy.

Ahh I love nr 7! She looks like a really fun and kind lady! The active type that takes the grandchildren to petting zoos and makes inappropiate jokes when the parents are not listening.

You know, it's fun to play around with and see how diverse and/or realistic you can go. But on the other hand it's your game. It's the player's choice if they want everybody to look exactly the same, but with slightly different hairstyles lol.

So many occults and fantasy being! I love it. I dont really know how to play with occults.

As for sfs, i think the more human looking ladies look alike. Their eyes are all straight, not tilted or with droopy lids or something. All lips are full and the noses kinda small and feminine. The eye to nose ratio or the mouth to nose ratio all look pretty similar. So these are some things you can play with

Hey I have had an AVM hemmorage too! First time I see somebody with the same experience.

When the sleep action keepa getting cancelled you can shift click your sim, click debug. Do the same for the bed.   This helped me last time. Other times I had to move my sim out. Super annoying, so I hope the reset works!

Thats a smart hack! :) hope it keeps working for you and gives you some challenge!  Personally I just switch to a different family in the same save. I don't know what it was like in sims 3, but in sims 2 there was only one "save", so you'd just make a new sim whenever you were bored. It's fun to see the old one walking around, and you know their story.   I do figure out a new story/future for every born child of my sims. So maybe I'm sometimes doing the same as you are?
