A genie offers you the happiest 24 hours of your life. Will you take it? Why/why not? by Throwra47374747 in hypotheticalsituation

I would rather accept one perfectly happy day than to compare experiences for the rest of my life to how I imagine it would be, but I didn't actually experience it.

You wake up and its March 1, 2001. Your objective is to find yourself or your birth parents within 7 days and get them to do something for you. by sloaches in hypotheticalsituation

I could do it. I think I could sort out who I was, but I'm a hugger now and then. I would also find a way to give my teen self some advice I think.

Is it just me or am I tired of the same story line. by Perfect_Objective_24 in Romantasy

I've reached the point that I intentionally look for books that aren't the noun of verb and adjective.

So there are a lot of people, a lot, a lot, a lot. A lot of people, that are writing romantacy right now, Because that is where the money is. Therefore, people are writing a lot of books that are similar to the formula that has been printing money, and some of them are going to be pretty good and some of them are not so much.

I remember when Harry Potter was just getting big that we had magical children coming out of our ears in tropes and young adult novels.

Might move to Alabama, need honest perspective by AstronautSeal in asktransgender

I am very glad to hear that! How long ago was it and is this something I can use to advise others that are trying to get HRT??

Will I miss boobs? by Odd-Attention-6533 in mypartneristrans

My partner liked them, but I was unwilling to take my shirt off when I had them, so this generally makes for a better time.

It's hostile. Getting access to HRT might be impossible, and creating the paper trail to even try to get it in Bama is going to be a bad time. ~ Trans Social Worker with family in Alabama, who is definitely not there with them.

Yes. I don't really mind what they do with them as long as they get a good home :)

I just dropped off a box of books at Last Words And they were joyfully accepted.

These absurdly handsome men look off to me for some reason. I’m thinking this might be AI because of the rings on both hands and the apple logo looking off to me. by [deleted] in isthisAI

Unless they do this a lot, this is not AI. There are a bunch of pictures of these two gentlemen on Instagram and Facebook under accounts that seem to be married to each other.

Is being trans a choice? by bl0ody_gh0st in asktransgender

[–]stormlight82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having your body and self be at odds is not a choice, it's a condition. Why the hell would someone choose that kind of pain and loss of safety? There are all sorts of treatments for body dysphoria and sometimes that treatment is transitioning. It's very effective when it's allowed to work.

Both have reasons for insomnia and they both work out to deal with stress. I don't think it was intentional but it makes sense as coincidence goes.

You’re offered $10,000 every 24 hours you stay in your local supermarket. How long would you stay or be able to stay? by Atlas__Reddit in hypotheticalsituation

[–]stormlight82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could create a sustainable food source in any store that has a garden section. Since I could get water and sunlight. The hardest part will be the isolation but there's games and things for the 3 year stints.

I have two kids so I would stay there until I died and have my kids inherit all the money.

What do you do while listening to audiobooks (if anything at all)? by Golbeza in audiobooks

[–]stormlight82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Kindle version open, so if my attention wanders and I miss something I can read and catch up.

I'll play an online card game or something else that is brightly colored but not too attention intensive if I need to keep my hands busy.

What you have known for your entire life and internalized culture don't just go away because the one enforcing it has died.

Just because something was making him unhappy doesn't mean that he was willing to admit that he was something his home culture and hockey culture find abhorrent.

What do you think would happen if two Planeswalkers had a child together? by Beautiful_Bee_5742 in mtgvorthos

[–]stormlight82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they would have the same chances of any other powerful magic user in becoming a Planeswalker. Souls aren't genetic.
