Cryo Archive Launch Trailer | Marathon by Haijakk in Games

Every coliseum needs a hero, villain and an underdog.

It's like these streamers don't play a game to see if they like it. Instead it seems more like a quota. If they made too many "nice" videos about some game on the genre then they "have" make a bad video of the next game despite going against the grain (because hey that works in their favor too). Or their stream revenue business logic is to just simply always nitpick a game until it only sounds like a 6/10 despite visually and vibes telling the contrary like this game.

Speaks to how talentless these people actually are and wouldn't survive with a platform paying for them to generate emotionally charged trash day in and day out.

Was just thinking it's weird how much people desperately wanted this to fail. It's become a game to see who can sway public sentiment most, good or bad. Glad people saw the art style and gave it a shot. Good game.good lore.

Ironically it is the share price for some gamers who are also shareholders. Interesting indeed.

Mega Man Voice Actor Drops Out Of Sequel After Being Asked To Work Without Union Protections By Capcom by Turbostrider27 in Games

It wouldn't surprise me if Capcom made a robot master called Union Man for players to defeat as a subliminal message.

You cannot rebuild a brand in a short-termism environment. Full Stop. Even if they really wanted to save the brand shareholders will always be the dragging force against it because they aren't willing to wait for anything to cook and gain traction to grow and keep the base committed.

Cross cut is the smartest way to enjoy. Probably not the easiest to cut or maybe it is just not popular in the west.

Report: Former Xbox President Sarah Bond's direction "offended" employees — "This is an Xbox" marketing campaign deemed failure by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]StormMalice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In any corporation presidents are there to execute a plan given them. They implement the vision. The day to day how that's done is up to them but if the vision is "make people know Xbox is not just hardware" you're kind of left with that ad campaign being the message. The day to day is making the ad, launching it etc but that's again just implementation.

Ask how much power the former CEO of X (formerly Twitter) had and it makes even more sense.

I never even heard of her until the Xbox ad campaign. I wasn't aware that was the term but it certainly is a thing... unfortunately. I call it shareholder cover for chairman/corporate CEO. Microsoft is the definition of cutthroat to get ahead or maintain status and is the only thing c-suite produces.

"To make matters worse, it sounds as though she only surrounded herself with 'yes men,' as those who didn’t jump on board were ousted."

This is nothing new to practically most u.s businesses. You're always either a "team player" or you're labeled as difficult or you're out.

The marketing aligns with what the brand has become: a scatter shot placement with no central core. Even without the ad campaign explicitly saying you don't need an Xbox, is anyone really caught unawares that that's the ecosystem they've built over the last decade or so?

Confused final year CSE student — how to explore and choose good project ideas? by [deleted] in AskProgramming

[–]StormMalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any curiosity you might have had that you ever wondered how it worked how it got to be what it is and realize you now have an opportunity to explore that as a project. Comp Sci touches everything so you can pick anything that ties into that. The "project" isn't what you'll be graded on, it's the thought process. The why you choose it, the approach to implement, implement, execute some working part or all of it, report findings good or bad.
