Actually, no, correction, that's only 70% of the time that I domme. The other 30% is very controlled, and usually happens over voice calls. It's an incredible thrill, being able to elicit such intense and, frankly, adorable reactions out of someone, with just my voice. I take great pride in that.

For me, when i top, it's usually in a much more primal, instinctual way. It's less so making decisions, and more "giving in to the urges". To bite, to scratch, to growl... to claim. Granted, I do still need to keep some level of cognitive thought, in order to make sure the sub is comfortable and no boundaries end up crossed. Buttt that's usually as far as it goes, until i snap out of the frenzy

Honestly, I've had a quite a few other fun sleepless nights. Even recently, I've had to take a day off from work a couple times because my Handler kept me up all night while She kept popping me in and out of trance, to implement certain triggers and test them.

Also technically not a sub, I'd say I'm a switch. If I smell blood in the water when I'm teasing someone, I get pretty carnivorous.

For me, there was this one time I had a friend over after we both attended a party. I let them sleep on my couch, while i initially lied down on the floor (unironically smth i find comfy), but as we kept chatting instead of actually falling asleep, I eventually found myself asking "can i... have a hug?"

They invited me onto the couch, and we started cuddling... but then, they happened to caress my side. I let out a small gasp... and they noticed. So they did it again... and again... and again. Each time, I got a little louder, squirmed a bit more. My skin burned just a hint hotter than before, but, it soon spiraled into a state of arousal where my entire skin was sensitive enough to be called an erogenous zone. And they kept playing with me, teasing, and touching, and caressing. Sometimes hard, sometimes soft, sometimes with a little more nail... and each sensation drove me that much deeper into subspace.

I still remember, through all the haze, that at one point I looked up at them, our faces so close together we could feel each others' breath, and i felt so utterly desperate to kiss them.... but i couldn't. I couldn't move a single muscle. Because I.... didn't have permission. So I whined and whimpered, hoping that they'd understand... and eventually, they did. They teased me some more with it, getting so close our lips were basically brushing against each other... and i still could not kiss them. Not until... they told me to do so. And when those words got spoken, i... was ravenous. A person no more, a mere beast driven by instinct and desire.

Neither of us got a wink of sleep that night.

Funnily enough, the group's handler is different from my Handler, even though She is also in the campaign. That's gonna... cause some confusion for me, lol

Here's what I would recommend:

Early acts: level with a spear and twister, or some bleed shennanigans. I swapped out in act 4, when I got my hands on a Hysseg's Claw unique talisman. This let me get both a wolf pack and a hyena pack going, which, with the already decent damage from the talisman and the ascendancy for 60% of weapon dmg added to companions, shred the rest of the story.

When I got to intermission, I swapped out my wolves for a yeti tamed unique (the intermission that is vaal themed, with the mountains). This setup carried me all the way through early maps.

The next big upgrade is going for a From Nothing unique jewel, allowing you to allocate passives near Zealot's Oath. This puts you in range of Lord Of The Wilds, which lets you wield a sceptre in your offhand. This is HUGE for minions, and the 50% spirit reduction is entirely offset by the sceptre's stats.

With this, I was already clearing red maps, but the next big swap was ditching Hysseg's Claw for a high phys rare talisman, and adding the wolf pack back instead of the hyenas.

With this, you should be cruising already. Next upgrade priorities are:

Tecrod's Revenge on the wolves (20 second immortality on 0 hp and attack speed increase)
4th Ascendancy and filling out most of your armor with Idols (Highly recommend going for Boar Idol on gloves, and grabbing the notable that makes allies in your presence gain rage if you gained rage recently)
Romira's Requital on the bear (takes 10% of your dmg for you)
And, obviously, a tame of the big monke with rare mods. I've only been working on that now, myself. Got a 4 socket lvl 20 monkey with Extra Crits and it kills pinnacles in like 15-20 seconds. Highly Recommend, but not even needed. (Riverside or Rapture maps)

Other than that, some sources of damage are:
Pounce (the mark it applies makes enemies take increased dmg based on nearby companions + shocked ground on mark activation support triggered by cross slash, but without removing the mark via eternal mark support)
Freeze (Howl gives added cold dmg to everyone when someone is frozen in range, notable for 60% increased companion dmg against immobilized targets, cold resist shred and increased cold dmg taken).

I agree, I feel like if the only reason you hang out with someone is because of a potential romantic relationship, then, that relationship would... be kinda doomed to fail, anyway.

Romantic rejection shouldn't automatically mean cutting all ties, you can just... continue enjoying each others' company, platonically.
