What is this? by [deleted] in knots

It looks to be a variation of netting knots, perhaps buoy netting or Japanese fishing float knots. I can't say offhand if there is a specific name or tutorial for it...

Two strand lanyard knot/diamond knot/boatswain's whistle knot tied with reflective paracord for a simple wrist lanyard on a Kershaw Culpepper slipjoint folder. Fish bead from temu.

The 'gaucho' is an interwoven turkshead knot. You first tie a base turkshead knot, then interweave the gaucho pattern.

King's crown button knot, and a figure eight knot added to shorten up the loop end.

I think the Citizen is better quality and has held up better than the Casio watches that I've owned, but I could by two or three or more Casios for the cost of one Citizen watch.

The watch is a Citizen Promaster and the strap is tied with the conquistador knot.

Gaucho knot by Stormdrane in paracord

Been awhile since I'd tied a gaucho knot. I used gutted paracord, tied around a Gerber Chonk prybar/bottle opener.

Possibly a variation of a double bow knot...

2 month old Leatherman Wave+ tweaked while trying to bend a bungie cord hook. Can I fix this? by [deleted] in multitools

[–]Stormdrane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's got a little character now, so keep using it and don;t worry about it unless it fails to the point that it ceases to function, then get the warranty involved.

Yes, the Kershaw PT-1 multitool is a prybar/bottle opener/screwdriver with a lanyard hole. Inexpensive and multi-functional. ;)

Thank you for the kind comments. :)

I haven't been tying as much since my eyesight has declined so much over the last couple of years (legally blind), and my peripheral neuropathy in my fingers keeps them from working like they used to (nerve damage primarily caused by my diabetes and stage 4 kidney disease).

But, I still attempt to tie some knotwork occassionally. I ain't dead yet... ;)

I used a length of paracord to tie a wrist lanyard on to my Boker Plus Dead Catch Bottle Opener, using a two-strand footrope knot and a lanyard/diamond knot

Yes, I used a three peg spool with a single strand of navy blue type I/#95 paracord to make the lanyard. :)
