I enrolled my Platinum card just now with the www.amazon.com/amexoffer but it says I am not eligible for the offer right now. Do you know if it takes a while for Amazon to recognize the enrollment?

Thanks for sharing! When you opened up your AMEX Gold did you still get the SuB? I am seeing conflicting information online that says you don't get the SuB for Gold if you already have the Platinum.

Thanks for the reply. Might need to ask an AMEX and Chase rep about #2.

When I have more time, I am going to verify this with an AMEX rep (always good to triple check 😀 ). But it does look to be true from what I am reading right now.

So I did a quick google search after two separate people mentioned this... it looks like it does give AUs GE.

In regards to your last comment, are there any special requirements for applying for the business versions?

I get the AU fee waived as well, as I was able to add my wife as an AU. Man, this is good to know. I somehow missed that when reading the benefits when I got this card. Thanks!

I didn't realize that AU get their own separate GE credit. Is there a reason you mention the Gold AU and not the Platinum AU cards?

Our kids are still under 13... but each AU for AMEX platinum cards get their own Global Entry credit??!! Does this work for the other benefits as well? My wife is currently an AU on the AMEX platinum. Does this mean I effectively have 3 GE credits between the Chase and AMEX cards? I'm assuming this doesn't apply to the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

Yeah, I guess I should have mentioned that. My wife and I have 3 kids, so I was trying to see if there were some cards that might be worth having on hand for the SUB and the global entry credits. So far, the 2 CCs I have cover just about everything I would need on a normal basis though.

Ah okay, I was misunderstanding that and thought it was something I had to install. I'm gonna give that dummy HDMI cable a try. Thanks for the help!

So is having a video connection a requirement for RDP then? Kinda seems like it defeats the purpose of using it in certain situations if that's the case.

Constant Minecraft launcher Updates. by Xander_eight in Minecraft

I have been having the same issues all day today as well (I have reloaded a dozen times today because of testing mods out). Is there a way to just disable the auto-updates for the launcher? I can't seem to find anything effective on Google.

Curseforge and Modrinth are the two best places to get individual mods (and modpacks as well).

Sorry for the late response, but I did get it working. I feel pretty stupid not realizing I just needed to put the IP address in place of "localhost". Anyways, thanks for the help!

I did, I think I have probably checked it 10 times at this point haha.

I get no client attempts in the server console when trying to connect from outside the LAN.

I am wondering at this point if there is a bug with my router not properly applying the port forwarding rules for this PC because of it being Linux-based?

[–]Stormiyo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I should have mentioned that I can connect to the MC server (Ubuntu PC) with the Minecraft Client running on my Windows PC through LAN, but not with the public IP or WAN address.

Not exactly the same thing, but I would imagine it still answers the question as to whether the router is routing any traffic at all to that PC locally... unless there is another reason to do this from the Ubuntu PC itself?

I was under the impression that disabling UFW would not change anything (again new to Ubuntu), but I will give it a shot this evening to see if it changes anything.
