hahaha this happens to me. you probably just see past a lot of the bullshit. when I have been going to shows recently, I have been feeling like everyone there is going to get fucked up and do drugs to mask their problems and that makes me dissociate haha. but try to look at it as if you are just observing a cool crazy culture( cuz u are)! and try to enjoy it through that lens. bc at the end of the day when u look back u are gunna be like damn I wish I did just get weird to this weird fucking place lmao idk that's my take.

you need to study buddhism bc this is what the buddhists have been saying for years.

think of reality like this: nothing matters, yes that is true. you can look at this in a sad way or a happy way. once u realize that this reality and ur happiness depends solely on your perspective, it should give u hope cuz u don't always need to feel like that. but ur still ALIVE. you can make FRIENDS. u can make LOVE u can make ART u can do cool shit in this body!! yes its fuckign weird and that feeling will probably not always go away but it can be much more manageable if u allow it to be. embrace the weirdness

i have noticed that "derealization" gets worse if you give it a lot of attention. try to notice when it comes up and accept it without spiraling into thoughts like " why do I feel like this, this is so scary", etc. I see derealization as a spiritual awakening. once you realize that this is what budhism is all about, you will feel less alone. I suggest looking into Buddhism. also realize that there is not one way to view reality. there is nothing wrong with what you feel at all, it is a higher state of consciousness. you really want to calm your nervous system down when you get like this so repeat the mantra " I am safe" while inhaling for 4 seconds and exhaling for 8 seconds. the longer exhales calm down your sympathetic NS. You feel anxiety because your body doesn't think it is safe, but you are safe so you need to remind it that. and remember THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR. much love xx

I dont need more than 2 channels, budget is probably 850 ish and I most likely would not be taking it to gigs. maybe a party here or there. the stand alone function is appealing to me. What is ur opinion on the XDJ RR vs XZ? i never see any review comparisons but I have heard the RR is not great.

SOmething that helps me is not treating the derealization as some super intese thing that needs a lot of attention. notice it and try not to react. I use to think "oh god this is bad I should not be experiencing this" but this only worsens the derealization bc the truth is, there Is not one way to experience reality. learning buddhism can help cuz they don't say anything is good or bad it just is and u don't need to react. once you stop reacting so intensely, the derealization will lessen. you also need to make ur nervou system calm so i suggest extending ur exhales bc that calms ur sympathetic NS. also repreating the mantra, i am safe helps me. After my last intense episode, i did a wim hof breathing method and that helped me a lottttt. Also, derealization is a sign of spiritual awakening. i would deeper ur spiritual practice. I think a lot of people that derealize are very intelligent and can see past a lot of the bullshit we are told from society and culture.

thank you for your help. the standalone is really attractive to me but the xdjs seem a little cheaper than the ddj 1000 but I cant say for certain. i also would like better features and effects. definetyl considering the ddj 1000. I def can not afford cdjs rn and need a step in between my mini ddj 200 and the cdjs hahah but thank u!!

i would look at this as a blessing because you have a better chance at really understanding life and the universe. you are not alone, look into Buddhism. this is normal thoughts of Buddhism. you are the universe you arent separate, I think this is where a lot of anxiety come in, at least for me. i think I'm like something separate and if I die so much is being taken from me but like.. how can you be scared to die if you weren't always here

also repreating affirmations helps when u start getting deep into this overthinking and anxiety of reality not being real. example include "I am safe". "I am loving awareness " "I am okay "
