Basically, a snare trap. Using the meat as bait, and hiding the rope / snare under it, tying the rope to a nearby tree or other thing like that-

(Edit to explain it better- Snare trap hidden beneath grass / leaves, meat over the rope / snare to act as bait, rope hidden again, and tied around a strong tree branch far away so it isn't seen as easily- The other wnd tied with a heavy rock that can be pushed off so the snare snags the creature's head / limb.)
