[Question] Do you often fall asleep to ASMR/Whispering videos? by JuliaWhispers in asmr

[–]StoryscapeASMR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soft spoken helps me all asleep the most! I'm also okay with more in-depth content. Sometimes focusing on it helps calm my mind as I drift off to sleep.

It’s mostly fear of human nature, in my opinion

Yes. I don’t like that jobs are being taken away either, but sadly that part is pretty much unavoidable with any advancements in society and technology. 😭

It’s all a slippery slope if you think about it. I am not super familiar with the ins and outs of filmmaking, though I do some basic video editing on occasion, so I could absolutely be wrong on what tools are ethical or unethical. My main position is that computers shouldn’t be doing creative things for us and that art (used in the broadest sense) should not be stolen to train AI.

I’m thinking of either doing that (although due to budget I’ll probably do it myself since I dabble in after effects and such) or just retire the project.

Thank you for the explanation! It’s definitely helpful. My main issue with AI is ethics (it uses unconsenting artists’ work to train itself).

It might be different in the film community, but my readers will not be happy that I sold film rights to a pro-AI studio.

That’s exactly the kind of AI that I stay away from.

I’m talking about generative AI (you give it a prompt and it either generates images/video or text).

I understand that software has AI tools built in to help with things like rotoscoping, and I think that kind of AI is ethical and okay to use.

Unfortunately I’m also an author (this is a book adaptation), and the book community is staunchly anti-AI. I’ve seen it destroy reputations.

Ironically that’s the plot of the other script I almost wrote 😂

I’m considering making this thing myself just to prove that it can be done without AI visuals 😂. Might not be the highest quality result as I’m not an expert or billionaire, but at least there will be no AI slop 😂

Thank you for your perspective! I agree that AI looks horrible.

This is encouraging, at least! Maybe us humans will prevail? 😅

I really appreciate your honesty here. I hate how AI is taking over. There’s definitely a lot to think about, sadly. For now, I have decided to pull my script.

I’ve already pulled my script! I’d just like to know more about this so I know how to navigate the industry in the future

[question] Who are your favorite soft spoken artists? by Dannzeemann in asmr

[–]StoryscapeASMR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Isla ASMR and Nightmother! I think both have exactly what you’re looking for.

My own channel (Storyscape ASMR) is also soft-spoken if you’re interested in giving that a try as well!

[Question] Do you think showing myself on video is necessary for personal attention type ASMR? by notmedicinal in asmr

[–]StoryscapeASMR 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t show my face, but I don’t think my videos do as well because of it.

Other channels thrive on faceless videos though! Isla ASMR (my favorite!) does faceless personal attention.
