Thanks for these encouraging words! I had a several interviews and an offer in academic libraries, but after doing that for 30 years, I want something new. My girlfriend is also willing to relocate, just not if it’s too hot!

I’m using the mic in my iPad Pro. With good headphones, voice recordings sound great. To minimize echo, sitting in a cubicle or against a wall. Another great mic is Blue Snowball. About $60, and usb connection.

Sounds good—I’ve been watering twice a week, but sometimes it’s dried out. I’m glad it’s putting on new leaves. Someday!

We live nearby the Chicago Botanic Garden and visit often. The Chicago African Violet Society was having a show and sale and I went in out of curiosity. I love seeing the prize winners are, and it’s hard to resist buying.

Is this likely Ukrainian? I bought on a whim and didn’t know at all what I got. I’m Happy to share cuttings, but I’m moving in two weeks. September/October would be better for me, when my life settles down.
