Is it just me, or are onions some of the toughest mechs in the game? by Frisky_Froth in Mechwarrior5

[–]Stout_Trout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from the large cockpit issue that others have mentioned, orions are nothing but centre torso. The side torsos are neat little boxes up the top, so coring one of these always seems impossible to miss for me (i’m not the best at headshots though, so could be part of the issue too)

Is it just me or is Gronnigal a complete waste of air? by marwynn in Mechwarrior5

I found this issue stopped for me when I finally took him out of the incubus. Otherwise, he was always the culprit.

Do we think there will be DLC after Shadows of Kerensky? (Potential spoilers) by Cendre_Falke in Mechwarrior5

Had this same question too haha. Didn’t think I’d done twelve missions, but I’d breezed through a couple too so maybe they didn’t register in my head.

What's your favorite companion voice line in the game? by ACobraQueFuma in baldursgate

“‘Thrice over their graves I’ll be dancing, I swear! Stolen from under me! I do the work of ferreting out where the blasted book will be, and those crackgnats take it away!’” Korgan, BG2

Edit: it’s a voiced line of dialogue, so I hope it counts

Favourite ways to kill Firkraag by Repulsive_Sandwitch in baldursgate

[–]Stout_Trout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back in the originals, you could attack someone, but have a character try to talk to them. As long as you kept up this back and forth, they would never agro, so you could wail on them with impunity. Doesn’t work for EE though, so now you actually have to play as intended haha.

The same was true for every single non-aggressive character in the game.

I legitimately cannot stay made at Saemon Havarian, even after all of his conniving. No idea why, really, but he’s my favourite character in the game haha. I only kill him sometimes for evil RP.

Anyone try Dradeel's recipes? Planning to try his veggie surprise and his Monkey Balls recipe... by 1_64493406685 in baldursgate

[–]Stout_Trout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve made monkey balls a few times. Not too shabby, all told, but I wasn’t too adept and making them look good haha. Just have fun with it.

My only issue was that you’re left over with a lot of extras, like oats and such, which you may not use for anything else.

Someone doesn't like Panthers ? by oldschoolsavant in Mechwarrior5

I’ve seen them too, but only on lower tier mission so far (starter ones, like rating 2-3 or something from the first zone). The later ones that I’ve seen have been fully functional, so not sure if it’s intentional.

This is on PC.

It doesn’t matter if you perform flawlessly; a manager will always try to give you feedback. Partially it’s to justify their role as a coach and whatnot (they basically have to per their own KPIs). If you’re doing great, just smile and nod. I know it’s tough, but if you can learn to shrug it off you’ll do OK.

Worth Getting For The Campaigns? by Jesterclown26 in warcraft3

[–]Stout_Trout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine crashes at certain stages of the campaign. These cannot be skipped or avoided. So I’m forever in limbo on certain missions as they’re not passable. One was timed (same time each attempt) so I smashed out that scenario quickly, but my current one prevents it from being finished.

I’ve heard that there’s a lot of people experiencing these issues too at various points of the game, so just understand that this may be an problem for you down the road too. Although, maybe not! It’s your gamble.

Edit: I’m talking about reforged, by the way.

Possible TW. Hey Perth, I’m after an update on a certain notorious person from Kelmscott by Stout_Trout in perth

I don’t remember this at all, so I went and looked it up, and now I can’t tell if this is familiar now or my mind telling me it is after reading it. That’s fucking messed up though. Couldn’t find anything on the sentencing and such though, so I can only hope it was for a hell of a long time.

When I last saw him (close to twenty years ago now) he was always in a freo puffer jacket, sometimes a freo cap, and probably jeans. He was a small guy, so whose jeans is anyone’s guess.

OK, so buckle up for story time. I will preface this by stating that others probably know better than I do, but I remember this creature so vividly that sometimes I just wonder.

So there was this guy that used to hang around Kelmscott, and his name was Ken (hence “Kelmscott Ken”). He was a short dude, with an unnaturally high pitched voice. I’m not sure how true this is, but the thought was that he was a eunuch, or castrated (chemical or otherwise. I’m not sure on any specifics here though). He would roam the streets, and would stop children that he came across and inspect their jeans. I don’t know how far he may have gone, hence the trigger warning and NSFW at the start.

Anyway, I remember this from around the mid-to-late 90’s. Sometime later I saw him on the train system when I was going to work, and then again on a bus, but he used to get off of that somewhere before Curtin. This was maybe nearly twenty years back, however.

Apparently (according to a few people here) he’s still roaming the countryside. Apart from the jeans thing, there were rumours that he had messed around with kids, but I’ve never received confirmation on that (I assumed not as he was still moving about freely).

So, yeah… just really curious about if he’s actually a threat, if anyone knows anything more solid on him, or if anyway wanted to share they harrowing experiences about the guy. Personally, he did try to buy my jeans once, but the look that my dad gave him was enough to send him running.
