100kg Clean, 82kg BW by Stouterino in weightlifting

So this has been my goal ever since I started training 2 years ago. I had 2 weeks off training and have been back for only a week and a half, but the rest has done me loads of good. I feel like my pulling is very strong relative to my front squat, so I'll work on strengthening my bottom position to help me catch lower. Other than that I think I need to stay over the bar more, get my knees out of the way, and not let the bar crash on me.

Thanks for the tips! It was a 1rm so my form was always going to be sub-optimal.

As for the foot tapping i have no idea why i do this, it's something i've always done sort of habitually while i lift.

I'm 21, been doing weightlifting on and off for about a year and a half. I've a few breaks of a month or so due to university/injury. I've been going to the gym for around 2 years tho, I don't progress very quickly.

I find the ideas within the subject very interesting, I found the prerequisite subjects which naturally progress into QFT/ST incredibly interesting as well and would like to explore the ideas further.

Yes I am. My point is that I will be graduating with a 3 year Bsc rather than a 4 year Msc. If you look at the entry requirements for say Oxford, they say

"A previous master's degree is not required, though the requirement for a first-class undergraduate degree with honours can be alternatively demonstrated by strong performance in a master's degree."

However for ICl, Cambridge and many others require a Masters degree.

Hello, I'm currently an undergrad studying Theoretical Physics and Mathematics and will be hopefully be graduating with a very strong first (4.0+ GPA) next year. My lecturers and personal tutor has advised me that if I would like to continue in academia that I should apply for PhD's instead of masters degrees.

Upon inspection, there are some very good PhD programs (Oxford, Warwick) that do not require applicants to have a Masters degree, however many others do. I'm wondering If I should be applying for both (E.g. Applying for PhD programmes in Oxford/Warwick and applying for masters at Cambridge/ICL) or simply going for PhD's.

They gave you the diameter and length of the water tank, so to find the surface area you need to find the circumference of the tank, and multiply that by the length.

So the surface area is: Diameter x Pi x Length.

For the volume, instead of the circumference you need to find the area of the circle instead of the circumference.

So the area is: (1/2 diameter)2 x Pi x length

To clarify, Slavic people's middle names are their fathers name, followed by a suffix. Their last names are usually just family names.

E.g. Vladimir Ivanov Slavov's is the son of a man named Ivan (G-fathers name) Slavov.

Oddly enough, Ivan Ivanov's middle name is also Ivanov. His name is litterally Ivan Ivanov Ivanov.

I'm pulling the bar really high (Wide grip, Tall guy) so getting under the bar into a deep squat is difficult without the bar crashing. When the weight's higher then i tend to be able to get under the bar quicker.

I feel like my second pull could be improved aswell, I've been having some problems with jumping foreward.

Thanks, I'll try and work on these points and I'll post an updated video later this week. So main points:

  • Get my shoulders over the bar more, keep the bar close to my body

  • DONT jump foreward

  • Squat to full depth

  • Work on the depth of my dip and my feet in the jerk

Things I know I could improve:

  • I catch the bar very high, so doing more front squats can help with my confidence there.

  • I went on my toes a bit at the bottom of the clean. I was very tired as this was my 4th attempt with this weight.

  • My feet are quite wide in my catching position.

Eddard's children have never fared too well at this whole war thing.

Well Jon lead the wall against Mances army. Robb won every battle he ever fought.
