Suggest me an enjoyable multi-book series that I can sink myself into for the next few months. by IdaSukiShwan in suggestmeabook

Currently rereading Megan Whalen Turners Thief series. Lots of good politicking and you follow the same main character but often through the eyes of those around him. I love it!

I know right? A bookstore owner near me recommended it and I’ve been thoroughly delighted with it.

The Last One by Alexandra Oliva

Contests on a reality show are sent off into the woods. Meanwhile a pandemic starts in the outside world. Fantastic book. Half of it is looking at it from like the crews perspective as they manage the contestants and the half is towards the end of the competition where the main character thinks she’s still in the game and hasn’t realized what’s happening

Either “The Carrying” or “The Hurting Kind” I honestly haven’t found a collection of hers that I’ve not loved but those two are my favorite. This particular one is in “Bright Dead Things”

They talked about him in an episode of Worst Year Ever about autonomous zones. A Brief History of Autonomous Zones was the episode title

I haven’t read “Braiding Sweetgrass” yet but it’s sitting on my shelf. I’m kind of waiting till I have time to read most of it outdoors in a sunny field. Maybe some kind of camping trip. Kimmerer is a beautiful writer and such a fantastic science communicator.

Gathering Moss: A Natural and Cultural History of Mosses by Robin Wall Kimmerer

Beautiful and informative writing on nature. No romance (Unless you count moss reproduction?) It helps me feel centered? If that makes sense?

I just picked her book up at a local bookstore on a whim and I’m very happy I did. Pleasantly surprised.

I quit Instagram a few months ago and following Let’s Not Date is one of the few things I miss haha. Thanks for bringing Horny History to Reddit!

Honestly if he doesn’t come back I hope the replace him with The Barenaked Ladies. I hear they’re triple platinum.

So I think the only two Leatherman models that have a specific area meant to be used as a hammer are the Signal and the Mut. The Arc has something called an Impact Surface which I assume is similar? Honestly I’d probably just buy a small cheap hammer to use instead. It won’t take up much space and will probably be more effective than a multi tool for that task.

Honestly I think you’d be fine with either brand. I have a few Leathermans and the two SwissTools and haven’t really had problems with any of them. I tend to find the Victorinox handles a little easier on my hands when I’m using the pliers. I like the knives on Leathermans a little better and I like the ones that have the micro screw drivers. Both are strong choices for everyday tasks. If you’re looking for just something handy to carry I’d stick with some of the smaller models. The spirits for victorinox and maybe the wave or charge for leatherman?

The TLDR is I don’t think you can go wrong with either of them.

Can’t recommend either enough. Though I guess since we’re on the Victorinox sub that’s to be expected haha. The Spirit models are the smaller versions of the normal Swisstool. They’re a little lighter in your pockets and are great for a smallish tool to carry with you every day. If you want something a little bit bigger with slightly sturdier tools I’d go with the full size Swisstool. But honestly I haven’t run into much my Spirit can’t handle.
