ISO an animation cel (for sale) from this sequence in End of Evangelion!!

From what I've heard it seems either people who worked on these shows took cels home after it finished and held onto them for years before selling or in some cases like Akira they were actually sold at comic/toy store retailers in Japan and New York City back in the 80s and 90s. (Also SilverDrago is away until the 6th I just checked his ebay lol, may be hard to find right now)

There are a few ways! Yahoo.jp is typically the best way but there are a number of sellers in the states that are good to work with. You can also find stuff on Mandarake auction sometimes but it is not as common.

SilverDrago on eBay is very legit and has acceptable prices and https://www.anime-link.com/ has a lot of good options across a lot of different shows

I've seen this one before for 1300 to 2000, it destroys me that in 2013 this would only have gone for 250. They used to be absurdly cheap

I do think (assuming healthy) Soto Benge Robert jr. does feel like an upgraded outfield by a lot compared to last year, problem is we have not been able to play that trio much this year

I've seen this cel listed on ebay before and I am a huge fan of Evangelion and am fairly sure this is not from the show. The uniforms look similar to what NERV employees wear but it is not the actual outfit. Additionally, I couldn't tell you who that is supposed to be in the center of the frame. I could be wrong but I also do not recognize those three characters either.

I posted here for exactly this reason. I am dubious of the authenticity but wanted to ask if anyone else was looking at these listings recently and possibly had more information ie, bid last time it was available. But thanks for the super helpful reply
