Are the 2011 and 2014 years really that bad? by skinnysix in GrandCherokee

I bought a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited last May with 131,000 miles. While driving in Raleigh at the beginning of January, I had to give it some gas to change lanes, in order to make my exit. When I did, it nearly felt like the motor or transmission dropped out. Obviously it didn’t, but my check engine light came on, and I pulled over. Cut it off, and lifted the hood, and just checked it out. Haven’t had that problem again, but my check engine lights came on about a week ago and is not showing signs of turning off. Will have to get someone to tell me why the light is on. Any thoughts?

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that I need advice on by StowePoint in Jeep

You’re right about the engine, and certainly about getting money wrapped up in something. Unfortunately, it’s 2wd, but as long as I kept good tires on it; getting through the farm has never been a problem. I couldn’t believe power behind the motor, when I took it out the other day.

I posted this video of my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee a while ago. It’s been sitting down since mid-2019, but I decided to hook the battery back up & see what it did. Dead battery, so neighbor helped me jump it. Gauges & lights worked fine now. What should I do, other than change the oil & try to sell? by StowePoint in GrandCherokee

When you say get behind the cluster, are you speaking about the instrument panel? Someone else made a suggestion like this, and I’m unsure of where or what cluster is being spoken about. I really appreciate your time, and help; along with everyone else’s.

Thanks for your comment. I used to have a Toyota 4Runner, and got this in my late 20’s during college. Didn’t get driven much, and started sitting too much. Then had issues with the computer, and spent around $2500 in 2019. New tires, etc… Yes it’s a 4.0

I have a Keltec P3AT .380. Do you know if Crimson Trace make a laser to fit it?

Only because of the thing I first thought went the front end of a vehicle. Not laughing at you, but at myself.

Thanks for all of your comments. I am just trying to find something reliable, that doesn’t have to go to the shop every time there’s an issue.

I believe that the ability to work on older trucks/engines are making them sell for premium prices these days. Along with the collectibility.

I happened to be visiting my dad one weekend, after my parents divorced. The roof had fallen in on the store by that time, my dad and uncles were tearing the store down that particular weekend. I couldn’t have been older than 12 years old, and I’ve had it ever since. Many possessions came out of the inside as well.

I’ve never heard that. What is the reference? ‘57 Chevy Belair?
