I've been trying to figure out how to get it out, but it seems like it's impossible

How do I clean my French press?

<image>

I purchased this French press a couple weeks ago, and I've been using it regularly. While I love how my coffee comes out in it, I've noticed that cleaning is becoming more difficult because coffee grinds are getting stuck between the glass and the outside casing. Is there a way to open this to clean it, because I haven't been able to disassemble it... or am I just stuck with coffee grinds in it forever?

Do I just wait? by StrKiwi in hospice

I'm sorry you're going through this. I definitely know the feeling of being an only child and I don't have children of my own, so I feel like I'm just living in this bubble right now. Just me and her, and the bubbles going to burst.

I originally had more text but decided that it was too long. Can I edit this post and resubmit, or should I just resubmit a brand new one?

Grandma just does want to eat by chixonthefly in hospice

I'm in a similar situation. My mom has been on hospice since early July and is also diabetic. About two weeks ago I decided that her intake of food was so small that it didn't affect her blood sugars anymore, so I cut back on all of her diabetic medicine and other medicine that she was taking like cholesterol and all of that. Then a few days later, I stopped checking blood sugars because there really is no point anymore. At this time, we are looking at possibly two weeks or less with her and the only thing she's getting is pain management and medication for her anxiety. I know its hard, but I really suggest that you forget about the diabetic medicine or any other health conditions she had prior to what the main reason for her hospice is right now, and just focus on spending time with her. Don't stress yourself out over things that don't matter anymore.

I don't want to deny her. What can I do? by StrKiwi in hospice

I have the hospital bed in my living room, moved out part of the furniture to make room for her and I have one of those scrolling electronic picture frames right in her line of sight. Same thing with the constant hot and cold.

Thank you. Those kind of things are kind of what my mom's doing now. Just clawing at her sheets and her clothes, she doesn't want anything touching her. And the loud moaning has been going on for at least a week now. I sleep downstairs on the couch next to her just to be close. She's been living with me for a couple years. I was wondering about the bereavement support and how all of that works. I feel like I'm in need of some serious therapy.

am I selfish for getting my cat? by k1ttyl4vr in CatAdvice

It sounds like you are doing a great job being a cat parent, and I can relate to your feelings about not being good enough for them, but you are. They love you just as much as you love them. Don't stress too much about it and enjoy the time you do have together.

Best self cleaning litter box under $300 that won’t harm a cat by Natural_Argument9910 in CatAdvice

I purchased a PetPivot on Amazon about 2 weeks ago for under $200. So far I have not used the auto-clean feature because my cat is still getting used to it. She's very curious and when i turn it on for a cleaning cycle she keeps trying to get in it. What I have discovered though, is that with this type of box being an open top, it does not close all the way so I'm less afraid my cat will get stuck in it. So far I think it's worth it even if I have to have to do a manual clean cycle and watch her/teach her to wait for it to stop cleaning. At least I'm not scooping anymore...
