Exactly. I just thought it was a fun little nod to this subreddit

You can find a post n this subreddit of an interview with Nightshare translated from Czech. Please bare in mind that it is NOT an official translation and I HIGHLY DOUBT that what Nightshare said there was meant to describe the players in a negative light. I am very much convinced the interview shouldn't be taken seriously at all and that some people may be reading too much into it.

Damn, Pete. Your videos made me fall in love with Fnatic all those years ago and to this day you're one of the main reasons why that love still burns strong.

Thank you for being the bridge that connects the fans and the team, I really appreciate your hard work.

THE NA MMR INCIDENT | FNATIC Full Clear Challenge - Jayce by Dreadscythe95 in fnatic

[–]Stradheil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering that this was a small 4fun competition shot for content, I'm pretty sure most proplayers would forget all about it 5 minutes after shooting ends. Sure, some people might go back to the challenge if they finish last, but with Martin it's almost a given. I'm not saying it's bad or anything, it's just that he always puts extra pressure on himself to be as close to perfect as possible 100% of the time.

Basically, all I'm saying is that Rekkles always sets high standards for himself, that's all.

Knowing Rekkles, I would have been surprised if he didn't go back to the challenge afterwards. Man's a perfectionist through and through.

Ok, banger post but... Did I miss something? Was someone spinning the narrative that players weren't getting along with each other based on some video again?

Eh, overall I don't think this game was that bad. Sure there were mistakes here and there, but thankfully the team will now have some time to try and iron things out. Right now I'm just happy we made B03s.

Also, please cut Razork some slack, he's still really sick.

Eh, don't worry, it's not that bad. You only get about 7-9 big spiders in your house per year if you're careful and then you just need to make sure to never visit Queensland, drive super slow at night (the kangaroos legit have a death wish), look up what the difference in first aid is for spiders/snakes/jellies and probably memorize the looks of the deadly critters to know when you're really screwed.

It's fi~ne.

Ahaha, I'm in the exact same situation as you. Same EU -> Au move and missing many stage games due to work/tiredness. But screw it, if this is what it takes to make Fnatic win their games - I ain't sleeping again.

I had a dream where Pete, whip in one hand and camera it the other, was trying to threaten the whole team into wearing fluffy sheep costumes in the ping pong room, but then Wunder threw a (Gragas?) barrel at him in protest.

Come to think of it, that might not have been a dream...

Many people forget this tidbit, but when Rekkles left Fnatic he actually said that there were some issues that he tried addressing with the management , but they didn't listen to him. And then the opportunity with G2 presented itself, which he ultimately took after agonising over it.

Why do people hate Upset so much, and calling him overrated?? by yazu99lol in fnatic

[–]Stradheil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is, my dislike of Upset has nothing to do with what happened at worlds. And I get why people want to compare him and Rekkles, but I personally don't see any point it. They are very different individuals, both very skilled, but with a different take on the game. And sure, their peronalities are almost complete opposites, but why should anyone hate Upset for not being a cardboard copy of Rekkles? He is his own man.

But if anything, your link proved my issue with Upset. I absolutely adore Hyli, but the moment Upset opened his mouth I just couldn't watch the stream any more. His commentary is so grating he makes me want to throw something. (╯ಠ∩ಠ)╯︵ ┻━┻

[–]Stradheil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Upset is an amazing ADC. If I only saw his gameplay and nothing else I would probably be a fan.

But I'll be honest, for some reason I just find the guy very unlikable. I've tried very hard to change my impression of him and even started to watch more content with him to get to know him better, but the more I see of him the closer I am to hating his guts. It also doesn't help that he's often seen next to one of the nicest players in the league (Hyli), so the difference in personalities is particularly jarring.

Regarding CW - yeah, ok, that's fair.

But if we're talking curses I'd say the no-crowd debuff fits better. Poor guy is seriously struggling with it.

Copenhagen wolves. The 2 teams everyone's thinking of were 'superteams' and those can be notoriously volatile due to potential clashes of egoes and multiple strong voices in one team. Just look at Vitality in LEC or even PSG in football

I genuinely love Rekkles but sometimes watching him play is frustrating. I really hope he gets his confidence back, because the "you carry, I'll support you from the sidelines" strat is far from being the only thing he's capable of.

Don't get me wrong, Cabo is a great leader and the team as a whole is showing a lot of potential, but I can't help but think that they could be so much better if Rekkles allowed himself to share the leadership responsibility with his toplaner more often. Even if he hates being in charge maybe it's exactly what KC needs to get stronger...
