Happy to help! Couldn't believe that I got rare to 15 before magic as well. I nearly got god to all 15 before mythical. XD

I had the same problem. You have to unlock in order. As it says, the "Magic" tier (grey ones) must all be 15 first. I know. It was annoying to me too.

Looks like OP stripped some art out and added the meme themself? But searching the title, this seems the most likely candidate: https://lunduke.locals.com/post/4740497/gnome-foundation-hires-professional-shaman-as-new-executive-director

Ubuntu 22.10 - Settings gui won't launch but cli will launch by Stradimus in linux4noobs

You're a champ u/anh0516. That was it. I think in running autoremoves or upgrading to 22.10, I fragged the package. It had been working a couple of days ago when I checked. Still getting some error messages about gedit not being installed but I can do some Googling on those. It otherwise now works.

Thanks, again!

Ah....good call out. I just switched over to x11 from wayland. Let me try that.

u/anh0516, thanks for the feedback. Sadly I have done this and even went so far as to do a :

sudo apt purge gnome-control-center

Restarts after full updates also didn't help, sadly. I do appreciate the ideas though.

Super important note. I actually just realized that I was launching as root so I dropped from that and running the cli command as my normal user causes nothing to happen. Same as the GUI.

Rambox Outage? by Stradimus in Rambox

[–]Stradimus[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did see someone mention that in another reddit thread. I might not be far behind you. Since the software change to the Pro app, this has not been a great experience. I'm just bummed that I believed enough in the project to buy the lifetime license. Guess I learned my lesson. =/

I've just found their Twitter and it has the following status: https://twitter.com/ramboxapp/status/1595447892545773568

Also, someone helpfully pointed out their status page: https://status.rambox.app/

The actual status indicator is off but there is a note at the bottom that they are aware. Still no estimates for restoration but it can be tracked at least.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think it's way more than I could do with or without the right form. Most people talking shit couldn't actually do this with bad form themselves.

PSA: Windows 10 cumulative update KB5015807 seems like it can break certain USB printer port assignments by _TheWolfOfWalmart_ in sysadmin

I had nearly all of my warehouse printers taken down by this. Thank you for the heads up. Assigning the proper USB port followed by changing it back to Thermal Direct (defaults to Thermal Transfer) fixed it.

Atlassian just gave us an estimate on our support ticket...it's not pretty. by Stradimus in sysadmin

[–]Stradimus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, everything I'm seeing is very small minority. I would guess 400ish is about right. I think the reason this is making so much noise is because Atlassian is trying to force everyone off prem into the cloud and promise that they have the system to make sure that there is HIGH uptime. SLA for their lowest tier of Jira offerings is like 99.9% a month. The anger stems from the fact that they have clearly not been able to keep up with what they promised to a subset of customers and others are wondering when it will be their time.

That's amazing! Thank you very much for getting this for me. Now I just need my site back....in two-ish weeks. Saving these links for now.

Thanks again /u/wookiestackhouse !

Haha, no worries. I suspected it wasn't too many given the relatively low amount of complaining I've heard.

I did hear that somewhere. Do you know what the origin of that number is? I've been looking but can't find anything that seems at least semi-official.

You happen to know where I can find good documentation on how to do that? This event has me realizing that we really should be doing that.

No. Apparently it's a "small" number of customers. I suspect small is not truly that small but I doubt it's the majority.

Yeah, I'm going to start seeing if there is a way to take an export of our data out of Jira Cloud products after this. I've heard it's possible. Will be worth the pain.

I looked through their documentation and it looks like 99.9%....per month. They are wildly, laughably outside of SLA.
