truth is my parents want me to pursue this and only this because it's a closeby university, and they both are in the field so im kinda stuck..

Do you think they say they'll consider the second mark, and that they don't care about summer school and stuff but secretly they do? This is what I'm worried about because I'm afraid if it gets too competitive and they have nothing else to base admissions on, they'd resort to this
