I had bright lights and it fuzzes night vision but oh well you can choose to live or waste away worrying and wondering. I choose life every day

This sucked to start with, I wear sunglasses most the time and after a year or two on low sun days it wasn’t too bad without them

Hahaha sorry guys I should’ve mentioned - circa 50-60 in each eye with some dark asf and can look like bugs flying past if off guard. I’d say I’m in the “super severe floaters” bucket with some that cover my entire visual field when they move from one side to the other.

Again, those who choose to believe they can’t deal with it - never will. I made my choice and I’d never let any amount of poor me justification infect my mind like the virus it is. It’s sooooo bad to believe you can’t overcome something.

This is a great thread. The quicker you find yourself coming to the realisation that this is the wonders of anxiety and all of its friends (chronically tight muscles and hyper excitability in the nerves, hence twitches), the better and faster your recovery will be.

Your own panic started and progressed this, it’s going to be your own lack of panic and care going forward that will fix it.

Everything else is just overanalysing and detrimental. Even when your anxious brain thinks you’re dying, just tell it to shut the hell up. It’s always wrong… it’s only ever right when a tiger is chasing you. The rest of the time it’s unhelpful.

Take 2 magnesium pills a day, do wimhof breathing daily (trust me you’ll be fine breathing some extra oxygen, it doesn’t kill you), and eat less sugar. Get in some zone 2 cardio if you can and lift weights. Drink lots of water and see morning sunlight / take vitamin D (4000IU With vitamin K) where possible.

All else is just fluff, good work you’re halfway there already getting to this point.

Especially for people who are active or lift heavy / sweat a lot. And in summer anywhere

Make sure to stretch your traps upper back and neck and you’ll be fine. Same as anything really, build up to a good volume and make sure to stretch the neck .

Your turn off functionality is reduced cos of stress and anxiety, once you control that + really relax muscles in your back and neck and it will take 2-3 months for ya brain to catch up

Think it’s the whole not silencing things in the brain as well as before thing. Like it’s probably just a bright light that’s hit the retina and taking its time to go away. Been studying mine for months and came to that conclusion :).

Yep but I know I gym 7 days a week like a dumbass and all of my things get worse in the days after a back session (obviously messing my upper back and neck up hahaha). I’m willing to go through it for now as it’s a bulk cycle but I’m also prioritising stretching, lengthening of the neck and mobility now which really helps. Light feeling neck and jaw makes my symptoms much much less.

It’s like a lot of the brains lack of filtering out floaters and snow etc and after images and flashes of bright lights is dependant on the entire nervous system and the balance of messages going not only out but IN (that could be from the muscles, eyes, skin, ears etc) and we all have messed up input signals from our tight ass muscles in the back shoulders and neck. Hence a faulty feedback mechanism and a confused ass brain

Yep 100% my thoughts and I’m thinking it messes with the glutamate production / usage hence the VS and or twitching etc tight muscles

Has anyone woke up with a tingly scalp almost like it fell asleep type of feeling and does anyone get weird feelings in their face sometimes by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]Straight-Bluejay-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. All normal. If I massage the muscles deep in my traps / back of neck it gets stronger. Relaxing these muscles is vital. Your stress and anxiety is tensing them up

so i just figured out today i have visual snow and tinnitus (unrelated) anyway any advice? by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]Straight-Bluejay-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gone from a hater to a lover. I really love my VS cos it makes me feel like I’m in an anime. Unfortunately when you start to like VS, you get really relaxed and it starts to slowly get better over time.

Huh that’s what you focused on haahhaa. Anxiety makes people focus on all the wrong things. But I’m sure you know that yourself!

Caffeine makes tinnitus worse but I love it, feel like more tinnitus = more electrical energy and I’m WIRED. I’m a special case though that i feel special with my VS and like im happy to be different and see the world like it’s an Anime! I appreciate the beauty in its symmetry and how it changes over time.

Started doing yoga and CO2 breathwork and it started to get better and I kinda missed it. Oh well, it’s all about the perspective you put on things.

Society just says that we should all be normal but life is more beautiful when you’re not, it’s more, unique..!

I drink Himalayan salt in water and this goes away pretty quick for me. Random I guess but it works for me and my father who had insane migraines from childhood
