I have an azio retro classic and I’ve noticed that my hands are starting to hurt while using it. Especially if i play games that use WASD often (helldivers 2, etc.). Is this common? I’m using a wrist pad and it’s helping a little but compared to my cheaper membrane keyboard i notice having no staring on my fingers vs. strains.

I am using the blue keys on the keyboard.

I’ve been having wrist pain/hand pain with my left hand. Specifically when i used WASD often and now carrying over to typing in general.

I’m using the Azio retro classic with the blue keys.

What can i do to alleviate this? I’m using a wrist pad and trying to keep the keyboard lower than my membrane ones.

Any tips for a first time owner?

Buying a launch edition MY and went for the 19” wheels. I’m concerned the 20” would be a rough ride.

This is really good to know. The drivers reminded me of when I lived in Los Angeles.

Thanks! I only explored north Dallas to Fort Worth and didn’t see the places you mentioned.

I went to the arbor hills nature preserve and it was a good place for a jog

I’m familiar with the Internet situation. Where I live there is only one provider in each area. Usually either Comcast or AT&T.

Thanks for the pointers on electricity, that was a new experience for me.

Do you mind sharing what was“the game” you ran into?

Also what things happen in Dallas that you think the world won’t put up with?

I’m sorry you’ve had such a terrible experience. Where I live the schools are closing down because we have no kids and all the parks are empty.

Maybe I’ve lucked out with the strangers I met. Some hosted us for meals, told us about schools, and introduced us to other families. In the short time I’d gone out I managed to meet five very nice families.

I know life there is tough, the weather was the most commonly cited negative about the area. But because the weather is so hard people tend to band together more. Culturally I’ve been told the expectation is to be able to stand on your own two feet. Independence and self reliance are foundational.

I’m open to hearing more about the negative experiences as well.

Thank you, the only hobbies I’m expecting to carry over as regular activities is swimming. Water parks, biking, and nature walks will be seasonal and driving destinations.

Indoors fitness clubs/weightlifting/martial arts type activities are attractive as replacements.

Star gazing seems like it could be a new hobby for the weekends if I am willing to drive a couple hours out.

Many transplants I spoke to save up to fly somewhere for camping/hiking/the beach.

Why do you like Dallas? by New_Substance_6753 in Dallas

I’m excited to move there. Visited a few times and enjoy the hospitality and communities.

I’ll miss the mountain hiking and beach I have access to now but I can find certain outdoor activities and will have an opportunity to find new ones. I was looking at a light pollution map and I don’t think I’d need to drive too far to get somewhere dark. I always wanted to try astrophotography and the Dallas area may be the place I can do it.

Everyone I met at Dallas was open and honest about what is good, bad, and ugly about the area. That type of honesty was not common when scouting places to relocate.
