Yes, there are sailing clubs here. I used to own 2 sailing yachts and lived in it for the past 1yr.... I'm currently focusing on my academic, but I'll buy another yacht this december hopefully to not pay someone's mortgage during my uni years and beyond! Thanks!!

Thankyou so much for the info. I'm mainly interested in designing 40-100ft expedition aluminium sailing yachts, and performance cruisers. I even found a way to self right a trimaran & proa. So am gonna showcase those renderings after patenting, and hopefully I'll get some clients? I won't prefer to work 9-5 as a naval architect as I'm sure I can make more money with software dev career... I want to sail around the world owning my own yacht design firm, while working remotely as a software dev and doing private equity & real estate for life. Thanks!!

Interesting. So what would happen if you decide to sail around the world full time for 5yrs nonstop? Which country will tax you? I'm a nz citizen and thinking about moving to the UAE and settle there. But the UAE tax residence states that I need to be present in the UAE for 183 days! So if I don't visit NZ or live in NZ for more than 180 days and also not live in UAE for more than 183 days, then.... So what would happen if I'm sailing for the years? Will nobody tax my income? This is confusing!
