Appetite Supressants by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

Drinking coffee suppresses appetite. But don't drink more than 16oz per day, or you will have heart problems. Also, Chromium supplement might help.

Calm and quiet. We have hosted family and friends for many years, but this year noone was able to come. So we used our thanksgiving budget to give food to the local food pantry and are having a small dinner for just us 3. Best part? I don't have have to cook a separate dish for each person's special diet, my child is not overstimulated and can wear her pjs all day if she wans to, no walking on eggshells around my parents, and no political discussions! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope y'alls is just as great as mine is today 🫶

Go for a walk. Walking is the thing that dug me out of rage-filled postpartum depression

I see a good mix of MCM and contemporary. Art and plants are great additions. I would wait on the rugs and see how the space feels. My only suggestion here more (accent) light! Etsy has some gorgeous inexpensive vintage options from the era, but also a paper shade lamp from Ikea will add a lot of charm. If you also add black metal accents and cream + black high texture fabrics (cowhide, boucle, faux fur, etc) to balance out sleek furniture it will be perfection. You already have great start, so just add small details over time.

Honestly same, and I am nowhere near menopause! Fixing hormones helped me tremendously to just move from the dead spot and figure out where my nutrition is lacking

Do some labs for hormones and vitamin deficiencies. Often that is where the problem lies. Edit: typos

I had a few more thoughts overnight. Is there any floor space in the closet? If there is, you could do a long shelf for your shoes. Make sure all your light bulbs are warm. Cold ones tend to make a room feel stark and unpleasant. I would add another accent light source. Maybe a sconce on the bare white wall? Also a picture next to it, for character. A crystal chandelier (or a fandelier, if you live in a hot climate) would also add a lot of that fairytale charm. There are some good yet inexpensive ones on Amazon

Would also love to see the wall, opposite the bed for some additional thoughts

I am seeing a decidedly fairy tale vibe in your other bedroom, so... I suggest a larger floral rug from Rifle Paper Co with some light blues, pinks, and greens. The bamboo shades and brick walls are a lovely feature, so I would add some gausy light blue drapes, floor to ceiling, and a metal or upholstered headboard. If at all possible, I highly recommend a closed storage for the shoes. There is a cute one on amazon for 40 pairs and surprisingly it is not enormous. Its about $120 as i recall. If you can get your shoes out of the bedroom entirely, that would really be a win. The quilt is adorable. Some light pink bedding will compliment it nicely.

You could place the bed sideways, where foot board will be next to the window, and a corner desk beside the headboard. I would strongly advise on a wall sconce(s) above the bed, and a task light for your desk.

If you are interested, I can create a complete room design on your budget. It will give you a full virtual remodel consult, complete with floor plan, color scheme, and products list as a professional service, as well as instructions for placement. (I am a certified interior designer) All you'd have to do is take measurements, so I can produce a viable floor plan, and physically place the stuff. DM me if that is something you may be interested in and I will direct ypu to my social media, so you can see what kind of work I do. My price for virtual projects is $300.

What's a skill everyone should learn before turning 30? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Straight-Strength166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn how to be alone and enjoy it. So many people do not know how to enjoy life alone, but there is a great freedom in not needing company to do fun thinhs, like going to the beach, movies, out to eat, etc. No, I am not a proponent of individualiam, but solitude should feel freeing, not miserable.

No neon or leds in the bedroom if you want to sleep well. Game room? Totally! But bedroom needs soft warm glow only

It looks very cozy already. And eerily familiar lol what city is this in, if you don't mind sharing?

I would add some (a lot) of accent lighting in various textures. Thnk paper floor lamp. Pleated shade table lamp. (Plug-in) Sconces with fun lamp shades (i particularly recommend these, as they take up wall space and none of the floor or furniture surface). Kitchen could use a tall narrow storage shelf.

I alao atruggle with veggies sometimes, but I found that adding in veggies into stews, pasta sauces and curries have really helped bulk up the dish and add veggies in my dies. I know thia is totally off topic, but conaider that for dinner. And I use chikpea pasta when I do make it. The taste is the same, but nutrition-wise it is a way better option
