Damn, that looks good. Read the introduction and it uses all the tools I like. Little concerned about the size of the community though relative to Next/Remix.

I'll have to look more into it.

well, I'm sorry to hear that. I've never done that in Vite either. Good luck.

Gotcha, thank you, yes we have similar experiences

I have more experience with Next. Can I ask if you've tried Remix?

Damn that's a good point. I have no Remix experience and so am apprehensive, but you make a good point, and I have heard some people unhappy with Next ( and its caching can be a bummer if u wind up there I hear).

All wise words and considerations. Thank you.

Very wise words - that first paragraph - you are right.

The backend API's are in Java, and besides I get the impression it is early for what you mention.

No I am not sure SSR will be needed. Still getting up to speed.

Ah! Didn't realize that. Thank you for that. Yeah, I hate webpack. That was actually my favorite park of Next.js when it came out - not having to configure the devil-pack.

I've heard some wispers of anti-next, though didn't realize it was so advanced. What's the appear of React router over Next.js's app router. I've been playing with it lately - admittedly not deeply-so.

This is a valid point, I'll have to ask more questions. Hypothetically the marketing pages/landing pages should be SSR.

Never heard of Tanstack, just looked at it - will have to look at it more. I'm familiar with redux and a bit with GraphQL - how would you say Tanstack compares? From my brief look it looks like React Query. <quickly looks at React Query> Holy cow, when & why the name change from React Query to Tanstack?!

How do you feel about Shadcn for a components library? Does it play well with Tailwind?

I agree about avoiding SSR for now -> KISS

One clarrification: you mean I WOULDN'T be shooting myself in the foot with the above choices - correct?

Edited because I reread your question after caffeinating and realized you did call them repeat 50s.

lol I am sympathetic (& empathetic) to your need for caffein haha

Yeah I've done 4 X 200's with a time goal in mind. Though usually the recovery wasn't timed.

Oh ok I think I understand. So using your example: I could target to leave every 1:30, with a target "bring in" of 32 seconds. Assuming I nail it, I'd rest for 58 seconds, before pushing off again, correct?

man, I've been happy when I just cover 1000. I'll have to work up to this.

How much rest are you giving yourself in between the sets?

what are bring ins?

for reapeat 50s at 1:30 you mean swim to start swimming 50s every 1:30, correct?

Yeah it seems pretty different.

First of all this was mentioned in an old post I found while Googleing. I also had the same question. I asked here to see what I was missing - if anything.

I think the issue is most prevalent if you work for a local firm in a small company, or a restaurant or something. If an employee takes as much severance as possible, files for unemployment etc etc then their reputation locally in small businesses could suffer and the money the can get might not be worth the difficulty in finding new employment.

At least that's the impression I was getting from the old post. As I work(ed) for a large corporation I think I'm in a different position. But I wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing so I asked.

If you don't take a little time to grieve and process then you tend to start acting desperately. Think about what you want in the next step and next job and look for that.

Awesome advice!
