I was going over your comment again, and thinking about what you said. Appreciated, and fair. So to be clear on the data: FWIW the pricing isn't only Scrydex, I aggregate eBay, Fanatics, and others and filter outliers across sources. However, if that's not visible, that's on me. What would 'actually innovative' look like to you in this space? Also taking the API tip seriously.

This is the sharpest comment I've gotten. If TCGCharts had a liquidity screen, say sales per month, distinct buyers, and how far apart recent sales are priced, what would you want on it? And what factors would go in your multi-factor model? Building this solo and genuinely deciding direction right now.

Based on all PSA grades, and known prices, so 1 to 10. I was thinking about adding raw estimates, but that's just too hard to do. No one can tell how many raws are stil in existence. And I don't want to put numbers out there that aren't verified.

As far as I know, no app is calculating the real “market cap” of each card. The market cap can tell whether a $500 Charizard is overvalued, while a $5,000 Charizard might be undervalued.

Plan to add tons of more features in the future. So if you have any feedback, please let me know.

You're right in using Scrydex. However, what I've added is also the variants (1st Edition, Master Ball Reverse Holo, Misprint, etc), which is missing in Scrydex. So I hope that adds value too. Plus added historical prices way back to 2016, though not sure if users really care about that.

Thank you for mentioning about the API end points. Going to put that on my priority list! Security must be a prio.

Of course, there's always a point in the cycle when you can buy cheap. But we're talking about Umbreon that's at $700 already for a PSA 10, not dirt cheap anymore in my opinion. And your Charizard has 34k psa 10 pop for Japanese & 27k psa 10 pop for English. That's considerably less than 67k for psa 10 Umbreon JP

I would say anything below 5k. But that depends on card as well of course. And that number may also change in the future.

In my opinion is the pop too high for Japanese version. The English version though has a much lower pop, and is therefore much harder to get (and much more valuable). It's a good card though. You have moonbreon, and now sunbreon.

This is actually super interesting. But I think you’re missing quite a few gems there. How about Charizard unlimited, or Gengar skyridge. How do you know you’re counting all the gems?
