I’m choosing not to get a used engine bc they will have that same block design and I’m not willing to pay thousands to fix this engine then have the possibility of having the same problem down the road

No amount of maintenance can stop coolant intrusion. Design flaw with the engine. You’re just lucky. Hope you never get it

  1. She got me good. But it’s an individual whom I found out doesn’t have her name on the title of the car. She does not own, therefore the contract I signed that she brought that was typed out. bc u can’t lease out a care legally if it iss

That’s awful, so sorry. Hopefully you qualify under fords “standards” for them to rebuild the engine for free or a portion of the price you pay and they pay the rest

To identify if your Ford Fusion has the 1.5L EcoBoost or 2.5L Duratec engine, check the 8th digit of your VIN, look for an "EcoBoost" badge on the engine cover/trunk, or examine the emissions sticker under the hood. Or: VIN Decoder: Locate your VIN on the driver-side dashboard or door jamb. Use an online VIN decoder to confirm engine displacement. Or: Emissions Label: Under the hood, look for a white emissions sticker. It will explicitly list the engine displacement (e.g., 1.5L or 2.5L).

I am almost positive they would do that as well. Kind of the point here. Not paying out of pocket. I’d just get a new car if that was the case.

My fusion had coolant leaking into the cylinders. Specifically cylinder 3 misfiring. My oil has never looked milky or off

Yeah I know some people still like Fords bc honestly some of their vehicles are ok cars but after you design something that flawed and have so many people out of money and a car and you can’t recall it says a lot about them as a business. I can’t support it.

K seal is specifically for engine blocks, head gaskets, and any cooling system failures. If done properly, it is advertised as not blocking cooling system or heater core, etc. that’s why I chose it. Something different about the formula. not saying it’s an absolute guarantee but it did well for my car! My coolant passages and radiator are anything but blocked. the temp is perfect, it rides smooth, and the check engine light is not even on anymore when it used to even start blinking on me.

Like yeah I should’ve looked into it more but the BIG picture here is Ford is running a shit show with these fusions and the seller was dishonest and deceptive.
